Thankful Thursday ~ Gift

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” ~ Ephesians 2:8 (ESVemphasis mine)

Yes, I know I am very early today to post the Thankful Thursday post, but I have my reason. I’ll let you know at the end of this post…

So, here is my short, but sweet list for this week…

  • I am thankful that God was so gracious to give me the gift of life–nothing I need to add to the gift of salvation. Because I am so grateful, I don’t mind serving Him–where ever He places me and sees it fit that I can be useful for His kingdom…
  • I am thankful for my Sweetheart. He patiently explained Photoshop to me so I can do some scrap book layouts fairly quick. I love spending time with him. Especially when we are very close–like ‘hovering’ over the laptop 😀 …
  • I am thankful for layout gifts–like Jenny’s. She is a German gal – very cool stuff she is sharing. If you are thinking to start digi scrapping, check her out…(I have to admit–I already bought some cool tools from Miss Peppermint *sigh*)…
  • I am thankful for the gift of friendship. I have met some incredible women on-line. Too many to list in this post, so check out My Blogroll or the ‘Thankful Bunch‘…
  • Last but not least, I am thankful for the gift-package that arrived. Yeah – I won something because I left a comment during the Blog-Party. Christy from BonBon Boutique actually personalized my package with a coffeecup that has my ‘life-line‘ verse on it (don’t you just love it when people do that). Check out this cool package (I call it ‘survival package’)…

What are you thankful for this week? I love to hear from you…If you have posted on your own blog, please add your link below. You all have been such a blessing to me…I love you gals!!!! As your time permits, please visit others as they are sharing their thankfulness (Mr. Linky will stay with each TT post)…

Now you are wondering why I am so early today, yes? Because you can also find me on Thursday over here…

…I will be sharing about how we can be a blessing to others–in a dark/angry world. I hope to see you there.

Blessings to your Thursday and as always…

  5. Nice list! 🙂
This is my first time participating, and I say thank-you, because it’s very uplifting.
It’s so nice to read what everyone counts as blessings.

  6. I love spending time with my sweetheart when he is helping me with computer stuff too! He is an IT guy, works on these things all day long, so its extra special when he takes the time to help me – I know on his free time they are probably the last thing we wants to see!

Great gift! Thanks for doing this each week. It really is uplifting to read!

  7. I am thankful for this weekly opportunity to reflect on what we are thankful for.
It really isn’t hard to be thankful. And thank you for hosting and helping us remember our blessings. (cool gift too!)

  8. hey there,
found your blog on Michelle’s blog (between diapers and dishes) on her wordless wednesday. And I was so excited to see that you and your friends do Thankful Thursday, I’ve been trying to get it started in my neck of the blog woods. I love your blog, I will definitely be visiting more in the future. Thanks!
    Julie 🙂

  9. I am thankful for the mourning dove who has been tirelessly flying back and forth from the grass to the hemlocks, picking up sticks, to make a nest, to bring forth young.

  10. I think Ephesians chapter 2 might be a theme today! 🙂 I am soooo thankful for God’s grace and reconciliation through the blood of Christ. I am always thankful for “Thankful Thursday” which pre-pares me ahead of time to “look” for opportunities to give praise and thanksgiving to my heavenly Father!

  11. What a wonderful gift set you won! How fun is that! Photoshop is fabulous. There are so many thing you can do with it. I am also lucky to have a computer guru for a husband. He is very patient explaining things to me as well. Enjoy your scrapbooking!

  12. Hello! I’m so thankful to find Thankful Thursdays. I’ve added my own TT post to my blog today and hope you will all come by.

I must apologize, I added my link to Mr. Linky above first on #31 and I added the incorrect blog address and it didn’t work of course, therefore, I added the correct one in #32. I hope I didn’t mess up your system, or possibly you can delete #31 since it’s incorrect?

I love your website and have added it to favorite blog reads. I hope to get to know each of you. I’m Gma, what my grandkids lovingly call me instead of “grandma” and am somewhat knew to blogging. Hope to ‘see’ you all around.

    Many Blessings!

  13. ooops can you delete me off the Mr. Linky .. I have been doing so many Thursday Thirteens today I clicked it without thinking.. I am sorry.

I wanted to say so many things to be Thankful for indeed. So you have started digi scrappin eh? That is very cool. Photoshop is way confusing to me. I would love to learn one day though. For now I will stick with scrapping the old fashioned way..lol

I hope you are having an awesome Thursday… sorry again about the Linky thing…

  17. About 3 years ago I dropped into a black hole – four months of absolute terror. I wanted to end my life, but somehow [Holy Spirit], I reached out to a friend who took me to hospital. I had three visits [hospital] in four months – I actually thought I was in hell. I imagine I was going through some sort of metamorphosis [mental, physical & spiritual]. I had been seeing a therapist [1994] on a regular basis, up until this point in time. I actually thought I would be locked away – but the hospital staff was very supportive [I had no control over my process]. I was released from hospital 16th September 1994, but my fear, pain & shame had only subsided a little. I remember this particular morning waking up [home] & my process would start up again [fear, pain, & shame]. No one could help me, not even my therapist [I was terrified]. I asked Jesus Christ to have mercy on me & forgive me my sins. Slowly, all my fear has dissipated & I believe Jesus delivered me from my “psychological prison.” I am a practicing Catholic & the Holy Spirit is my friend & strength; every day since then has been a joy & blessing. I deserve to go to hell for the life I have led, but Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross, delivered me from my inequities. John 3: 8, John 15: 26, are verses I can relate to, organically. He’s a real person who is with me all the time. I have so much joy & peace in my life, today, after a childhood spent in orphanages [England & Australia]. God LOVES me so much. Fear, pain, & shame, are no longer my constant companions. I just wanted to share my experience with you [Luke 8: 16 – 17].

    Peace Be With You
    Micky
