Philippians_4…Encouragement Scripture passages for the photo-book that I will be releasing in May 2010.

The subtitle of the book will be “Encouraged Through His Word”. I would like for you to leave me one of your favorite Scripture passages that encourages you when you have a rough day, week, month. Which Scripture passage do you ‘cling’ to? For me it is Isaiah 41:10:

Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

So, what is in for you, you may wonder?!? I will draw a random contributor from this post to receive the first soft-cover print of my photo-book ($20 value). The mini contest will be open until next Friday, March 26th (my 5th-bloggy-versary date).

The title of the book is yet to be determined. I plan on having another contest for the title of the photo-book starting Friday, March 26th. So, I hope you will come back next week to find out more about the title contest. Would you also spread the word about these contests? I would greatly appreciate if you would mention it to you friends and family 😛 .

Have a blessed Sunday afternoon and a peaceful coming week…

  1. Just one??? I have several coming to mind. 🙂 Here is one.

    Psalm 138:8–The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
    your love, O LORD, endures forever—
    do not abandon the works of your hands.

  2. Oh, there are so many that I lean on, but one of my very favorites is Jeremiah 29:11..”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

  3. Oh Iris…what an incredible book this will be—what a BLESSING! There are so many passages that I lean on–but one particularly speaks to me today—“from Psalm 91”
    “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust”. (1-2) The rest is powerful and it speaks volumes to my heart!

    Love you! (I’m putting this on FACEBOOK)

  4. I’m getting back to blogging this week. Hopefully I’ll be able to start entering my stuff soon. I’ll be at Writing FUNdamentals. Just wanted to pop by and say hello. You’re my first stop in the blogosphere!!

  5. I am so excited for you Iris. I have the Isaiah 41:10 passage laminated and propped right in front of me at my computer. Another passage of Scripture that has become so important to me is Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding wil guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
