Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
(Psalm 30:4 ESV)
In June my trip to Germany seemed so long away; I can’t believe that tomorrow (Friday) I will finally board the plane to my home-country. I have been giddy all week. The only damper is that my beloved is staying here in Arizona. I am also not looking forward to the very long flight. However, the people I have talked to (who take the same flight from Phoenix to London) say, it is very comfortable to fly with British Airways.
It will be awesome to see my family again; after eight years it is time!!!! My list of foods I want to eat when I am ‘home’ gets longer and longer. Not sure if the ten days will be enough to eat the foods I want. Maybe I just won’t sleep 😆 .
I am very, very thankful that God cleared the way for me to go home. I will take my camera to capture memories of my family and Germany. I also know that the people I work with are thankful for me finally taking off. I am sure they are tried of me counting down the days 😉 .
What are you thankful for this week? Please share with us by leaving a link to your Thankful Thursday post below. Please note that in the month of October and November, my friend Laurie at “Women Taking A Stand” will be hosting Thankful Thursdays.
Thank you for stopping by today. Remember: God will answer our prayers, in His time.
Love & peace,
Iris

I am so excited for you. My husband lived in Germany for a year after Viet Nam and LOVED IT! His father (who is now with Jesus) has a lot of family there. My brother in law has met a few of them. I would love to visit. My eldest daughter timoni.org – is spending Christmas in Germany! I cannot wait to see your photos and hear about your blessed and very fun time with family. HAVE A FABULOUS time 🙂
