Okay – so since I have combined the two blogs, my readers from Sting my Heart have to now ‘endure’ My Lighter Side …
Most of you know that I was born and raised in Germany, and Germans are HUGE soccer fans. I know it is not that big over here. Just imagine – soccer for Europeans is like baseball, football and basketball combined…Yeah that HUGE…Anyway, Germany will play Italy, and France will play Portgual in the Seminfinals in the soccer World Cup. My friend Mar, who lives in Spain (yeah another huge soccer nation) , sent in her tip for the World Cup finals via email this afternoon. Her tip for the final game: Germany 1 – France 0…Well, I had to rethink, because I thought for sure that Brazil would make it to the finals…But I was wrong; France beat Brazil today…So, my tip for the final Cup game: Germany 2 – Portugal 1….Yeah I am confident that Portugal will win against France….
So, what is your tip?…I know one other lady here in the US that follows the World Cup – Sandra from “Diary of a Stay at Home Mom“. Gentlemen – you like soccer – following the World Cup? What is your tip?…
Saturday Photo Hunters – scroll down for this week’s post…
I can’t say I’ll be watching the world cup, but will probably start tooning into watch Le Tour. Sorry, just more exciting to me for some stupid nastalgic reason…
The place in my photo. It’s located next to Germany and the all too often topic on my blog. hehe.. 🙂
This is EXCITING, isn’t it? first it was out of question that Brazil would make it to the finals and Germany wasn’t expected to come too far…and here we are. Anything can happen, I am just crossing my fingers for Germany. Go, Klinsi, go!!!
I am so terrible with sports. I love the Tour d France and all olympics but the rest just goes past me! In my teen years I went to several games in Tampa and saw Pele play a few times but that was long ago. So no tips from me!
I hope you are having a great weekend and are planning a nice 4th!
Iris, I have no idea what you are talking about. But I am totally caught up in your excitement and anticipation! Enjoy! (And I’m happy you are now also sharing your lighter side here.)
