It doesn’t matter how you feel about the war in Iraq or war in general. Please remember the men and women who put their lives on hold and on the line for freedom. Honor them today and always. My Sweetheart is a veteran (thanks Babe for your service – and thanks to all service men and women). I am sure you know of someone as well…I have two links for you — I would be grateful if you follow them today…
***I want to thank Laurel for allowing me to link to “Do You Have Just Two Minutes.

…Yup – he is young man now. Hard to hug him these days — he doesn’t like it anymore AND he is 6’3″. He is ready to venture out on his own. Are we ready? Some days we are and others my heart hurts. But you have to let them go – don’t you?
Looking forward visiting your hunt photo .
Have a wonderful day…
What a handsome young man. Mine will be 24 this Christmas day. I have a christmas baby, a christmas brother and my recently departed grandma, also a Christmas child.
I can’t believe my son will be 24 and… he is finally getting it together. Be blessed, Love and hugs, Lynn
Wow and yes it goes fast I am learning.
Thanks Iris for posting a tribute to the Veterans. My dad wasn’t a Vet ~ actually, he was on the Draft Board for WWII.
My Photo Hunt picture is similar to yours but earlier!! Hope you aren’t offended.
Look at his baby blues!! So precious. Now, he’s a grown handsome young man. Wow.
Happy Verterns Day. I thank all the vet – including my hubby and yours!
Yeah, yeah sigh, mine is now 33 and 2m (6.6) and it seemed to me, yesterday !
Yes, how fast the time flies and way too fast, if you ask me! I just wrote a post about this not to long ago…ughh….I sometimes wish they could stay babies forever! =)
Great photo. I love the layout. Time does fly, and mine is still a “babe”. :sniff sniff:
Looks like a nice young man. 🙂 I love the layout, too. And they DO grow entirely too fast!!!
Wow, what a handsome young man. Too bad the pups grow up so quickly.
*sigh* I have three kids- my eldest girl is 9 going nineteen! LOL.. She’s growing and blooming fast, albeit too early. 🙁 But they will always be our babies no matter how big they get.
Great tribute for Veterans Day! Wonderful photos of your son. He has grown into such a handsome young man. 🙂
I’m up too.
Very, very touching Iris. I checked out both links, and I feel so grateful for all the young men who have served their country. YOUR young son is someone to be proud of too… I know he loves his Mom. 🙂
It makes me teary just thinking of my boy’s all grown up. I can’t imagine not having those wonderful sticky-fingered hugs as a part of my day.
Then again…I suspect I am in a similar age bracket to your son, so my mother and my mother-in-law must feel the same way about my husband and I 🙂
I shall look forward to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s cuddles 😉
God Bless
Jenny
Aww, the proud mom, I know the feeling! Happy so see the boy as a young man but it’s heartbreaking to let them go *sigh*
Happy saturday!
i can’t imagine my son being so old!!!!
beautiful tribute and hats off to your hubby 🙂 – thank you!!!
Wonderful photos! He turned out to be tall dark and handsome! Mine are all out on their own now too! It does go so fast! Have a nice Saturday!
Thank you for posting about Veterans’ Day (Remembrance Day in Canada). My husband is an active duty officer in the Canadian Forces, so Remembrance Day is always a special day for us. I’ve posted about Remembrance Day on my blog. Thank your sweetheart for his service.
Amazing how quickly children grow up! Great entry for the theme of “growth”. My growth photos are up too.
Have a good weekend.
Time does fly by fast! This is what I did for my Sat. photo hunt too!!
Have a great Saturday!
Oh my, look at those beautiful baby blue eyes! And yes, they do grow up too fast.
Those are great shots!
Mine is up too, have a great weekend.
They certainly do- I have a similar theme on my photo hunt this week.
Happy Saturday!
awwe, that is perfect for this theme… i can imagine how hard it is to let go.. I can only hope when the time comes for me to that I can let go and trust them to God.
He is handsome!! have a great Saturday!!
A wonderful choice for this week’s theme!
Very nice 🙂
Great pics, very handsome.
oopss.. sorry I added my name to the misty linky above.. I got mixed up.
Your son is very handsome!! He sure grew up well 🙂
Great photos! He’s grown into a handsome young man. It happens so fast!
Excellent interpretation of the them!
Mine’s up too 🙂
Yep…time flies out the window when you’re nurturing a babe…they grow up and become adults that we are proud of! No matter what they do with their lives! It’s family.
Wonderful conception of this week’s theme.
Happy Saturday and thanks for visiting over at my blog today.
Life is a miracle!
Oh, my, he’s grown a LOT. A very tall young gentleman you have there.
That was an awesome link, “Do you have two minutes.” VERY deep, thought provoking.
WOW! Will my guys be growing up like that, too? 😉
Yes they do grow so fast, too fast.. This is why, if we give them the best start in life, it will help them find their path in life. I’m sure you are very proud of him :=)
Mandy
You think he grew up fast. He grew up in like a second for me looking at the two pictures. Congratulatoins on raising such a fine young man. Great hunt pick for this week.
They do grow up fast, but what they grow up to be is also exciting!
Great choices for the theme.
Mine’s up too
Happy weekend!
Thanks for the links; I love any reason to visit over at Laurel Wreath’s :). An unusual but moving tribute indeed.
It’s always so nice to see family pictures of my blogpals. It lets me into their lives a little more, and there’s something…special…about that. After visiting today and meeting your BABY, I’ve come to know you a bit better in the process. Thanks for sharing!
What a handsome young man! I understand the struggle of letting your baby go! My older children are now 24 and 26 and I still see them as the babies of their youth! I have to be very intentional in allowing them to be the young adults that they have become! I have learned, this is a daily exercise of TRUST in God!
Great tribute to your son.
