Thankful Thursday ~ Unity

Before I share my “Thankful Thursday” with you, I would like to welcome you to the ‘new’ home of Thankful Thursdays. I would like to thank Chrixean for hosting Thankful Thursdays for the past year and Running2K for coming up with the idea. I have been writing my thankful posts for quite some time; I am thrilled to be your ‘hub’ for this weekly meme. There are no rules for it, except to look around you and give thanks – for even the smallest things in your life. The two other things I am asking you: please visit all the other ladies who leave their link here, and that you add the little graphic to the posts…Questions? Just let me know, okay? Oh, BTW – I always add some Scripture passages to my post, BUT that is not a requirement to participate — just something I like to do .

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
~ Ephesians 4:1-3 (ESV)

  • I am thankful that God gave us His Spirit of unity. There is nothing more thrilling to me to ‘talk’ Christ with my sisters (brothers?) from around the blogsphere — no matter what our denomination.
  • I am thankful for the blog-team God has put together at Laced with Graced. I know that I have said it before, BUT through that group blog, God has shown me that we do not have to ‘belong’ to the same denomination, but that we have a common denominator — Christ! And that is awesome! BTW – I don’t even know which churches my sisters in Christ attend, but I know that they all love God and call Christ their Lord and Savior. And that is the most important part to me…So thank you CJ, Ellen, Heather, Laurel, Lynn, Sissy and Tracey – you are blessing my socks off.
  • I am thankful that I am allowed to host the Thankful Thursday ‘meme’ at Sting My Heart. It is wonderful that bloggers come together and share their thankfulness. And God added even some new players to the ‘game’. Check out the blogroll here.
  • I am thankful that Darlene created a new header button for Thankful Thursday
  • And I am thankful that Daniel took us out for dinner the last couple of Mondays. With his schedule and ours, unified dinners are rare in our family. It was great to sit together and talk about his dreams and goals. And I didn’t had to cook and my Sweetheart didn’t had to clean the dishes …

What are you thankful for today? Did you play — add your link…or leave a comment.

Blessings on your day and as always…

  1. I should have added you to my list of thanks! Much thanks! I have been reading your Thankful T’s for a long time now. And I even played for a while. I made the decision to rejoin yesterday after reading your email because I find so much to be bitter about I need to stop each and make sure I give thanks to God.

On another note, I made my own banner, you know me I am in my own world on graphics. I will change it if you want! 🙂

  2. Thank you for hosting, and what a great list! I am more and more thankful with every list I read. What a great focus for my thursday! Thank you for your kind comments on my list. Yes, I am really trying to treasure the moments with my adult children. The are preparing to leave, and there are trying moments, when their choices break my heart, but I am determined today to be thankful in every circumstance. Family night, tonight. That helps, too!
