Our hostess for this week’s “In Other Words” is my dear friend, Laurel at Laurel Wreath. Please check out her ‘challenge‘ this week…I hope to see you there…
My friend Christine at Fruit in Season is talking about a book by Dr. Laura Schlessinger–with a book draw. Christine posed the following questions for “Marriage Monday“:
- “How do the media, friends, extended family and other outside influences affect your attitude in your marriage?”
- What are some resources of encouragement for you in your pursuit of godly wifehood?
- Where would your husband say he falls in your list of priorities from day to day? Where on the list do you think he should be? If the answers to the last 2 questions don’t match up, how can you remedy that?
I hope to contribute to Christine’s “Marriage Monday” later in the day…One thing I can tell you already…My husband used to be on the bottom of my list, before I read “Love & Respect“…
Yours truly is posting over at Laced with Grace…
Blessings on your Monday and as always,
Hello Iris, praying that you will have a wonderful week, filled with many happy moments.
I’m sorry you’re homesick, Iris. Praying for you!
I don’t let media and other outside influences affect my marriage. For friends and extended family, I am lucky to say that they have been great positive influencers.
Hope you have a great week ahead!
That quote from Laurel Wreath is a doozy! I’ve been thinking about it! Have wonderful day, Iris!
Thanks for the link to Laurel’s….this is worthy of a great discussion.

Good break down of the questions… working as a team in marriage is so important. My hubby and I are constantly having to re-evaluate our process and approach to the things that concerns us.
I love Christine’s Marriage Monday idea. I just have to get organized so I can post about marriage on Mondays…
I feel a little homesick this week too. We’re moving my Dad into a retirement home very soon, and I see our parents’ generation slipping away. PTL we have the hope of a bright future together in eternity. :~)
