Parched Soul

Psalm 143

Somehow it is funny. I guess July is my hard month here in Arizona. I checked my archives and I shared last year in July my reading of Psalm 143 (sorry for the poor sound quality–I don’t have a good studio–hehe)…Psalm 143 is my favorite and I keep it close to my heart. I feel like David lately…my soul is parched. I guess it is the desert heat 😉 .

This being said, I will take a short break from blogging. I will be back on July 23rd refreshed and renewed (I hope). I plan on finishing the book I started a while ago. I am determined to catch up with a Bible study I started a while back…and hopefully can get some other reading in.

Oh, you are wondering about

No worries. My dear friend Laurel at Laurel Wreath has graciously agreed to cover the hosting this week for me. Isn’t she sweet? I will auto-post a reminder on Wednesday night.

One more thing. I will have a devotion tomorrow, Monday, July 16th over at

LWG Button

I hope to see you all back here on July 23rd and don’t forget about me 😛 .

Be blessed this your week and as always…

  2. It must be terribly HOT there. I live in the north so we only get about 3 weeks of unbearable heat. The rest is smooth sailing…well minus the 0 degrees it get in Jan. I am glad my mood is not determined by the weather. I would be up down and all about. wink…wink. Have a wonderful weekend and stay COOOOOOOOOl.

  11. Iris,

Girl I understand you. I lived in Las Vegas for 23 years. The heat is brutal and can drain you emotionally as well as physically.

Lord, I ask for a spring of refreshment for my sweet sister, Iris. Fill her up. Give her peace. Intercede in her workplace. Make her days there easier and bearable. Fill her with the love each of us, her readers, feel for her. Renew her spirit. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

  12. Have a wonderful break Iris. May you be refreshed by our Prince of Peace. May He bring you rest and renewal during your time away. Blessings to you my friend.
