My heart hurts for you – being “bullied” this week by Christians. That is saddening and disappointing because our goal is to lift one another up. I’m sorry to hear this – we need to get our acts together sometimes don’t we?
I have been in these shoes often. I think anytime we stand for God’s heart it will happen and often.
It is amazing that we often see persecution coming from within the body of Christ. Will they ever learn?
And yet we are still called to love.
Hello! Just found your website. I have been bullied, but, married to a German husband we stood up against it. I have to love the Germans because they are straight shooters. Being bullied by other Christians is tough, ibut it is tougher to stand up to it. It is not very popular you know…that is why no one does it and does the “nice” thing and let it go. Anyway, love living in your homeland!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your heart. I am glad that your church and the ex-pastor had the opportunity to look each other in the eyes and move through that part of the experience.
I left you a comment on the other site..but just had to tell you when I first read this, I had NO idea just how ‘bullied’ I would feel this weekend…You calmed my spirit and helped me recognize the chance to grow…thank you for words that helped more than you may ever know!!

There was no other place for me to comment on the IOW and your apology! I am so sorry that you felt that you had to apologize. Your quote made me dig into the word and I was challenged to seek out the truth.
Just wanted to let you know that I was encouraged by the quote and in participating in IOW this week! Thank you for hosting
Hi Iris,
Sorry for leaving this comment on the “wrong” post but your latest two posts are closed for comments… just wanted to let you know that I deleted my “lack of gentleness” post. Thanks for calling me out.
And for the record, I think it’s good when people choose controversial quotes. It definitely allows for a variety of responses. Now if only people like me would learn to stop venting publicly…. Sorry for the lack of tact & kindness. Many others had the same thoughts as me but were much more gentle in expressing them! (I did admit in my post that I struggle with gentleness.) Again, sorry.

Sorry that this is on the wrong post. But I wanted to let you know that i’m not mad or upset at you in any way. I hope you can sense that. I just simply had a different take on the quote. I’m sorry if you thought I was upset. I even wrote a followup comment on my blog post to address the issue. I thought my post wasn’t a venting post, if you took it that way…I apologize. I was trying to kindly say that I disagreed. hugs
