I am Overwhelming & Too Much…

You Are Italian Food

Comforting yet overwhelming.
People love you, but sometimes you’re just too much.

Okay, so I am ‘hooked’ on these ‘bloggy quizzes’. What can I say? I thought it would be fun to do this one in light of our up-coming carnival. I am comforting, but overwhelming; loved, but can be too much – hm. Well, I better think about that the rest of the day. Maybe I am too much…*sulk*.

Anyway, don’t forget to submit your entry to Heather by Tuesday, 3pm EST. Looking forward to read your entry next Wednesday.
Have a joyful weekend. ~ Eph2810

Ready for some visits?

Have you ever taking part of a Carnival in the blogsphere? You know, you might want to think about it. It is so much fun and you will meet some awesome bloggers. Check out this week’s Carnival of Beauty hosted by Bethany at A Picturesque Life. 15 Christian women from around the blogsphere came together to write about ‘contentment‘…I hope that you consider to be part of next week’s Carnival hosted by Heather at Mom 2 Mom Connection (it’s about comfort food).

Well, what else is going on in the blogsphere? I have discovered couple of new blogs (actually 5) that I would like to highlight this week (for all the other great bloggers – check out my sidebar – which I have adjusted a little)…

I hope you will be able to check out some of my new reads. They have been a blessing to me and I pray that they will be a blessing to you as well…

Here I Come…

Yes, it is true. Stacy accepted my application to become one of her exclusive reviewers for new Christian book releases with Mind & Media. I am so excited about it…
My first review will be a book by Polly D. Boyette called “Life is a Buffet“. I think this is a perfect match for me. Here is a little description of the book from Polly’s homepage:

Life is a Buffet is a collection of hilarious short stories experienced by author, Polly Boyette. These funny stories remind us how to laugh at ourselves, even at our most embarrassing and humiliating times. Polly teaches us that life truly is a buffet, offering a wide variety of choices that we are faced with everyday. Choosing to add laughter to our appetite actually makes living and choosing easier along he way. Polly also pairs a scriptural interpretation with each story in order to teach simple Biblical principals along with the laughter. Each story makes us laugh out loud, while, at the same time, giving us food for thought. Life is filled with busy tasks which we allow to clutter up our minds, leaving no room for the desserts that God intends for us to enjoy. Laughter is an essential key in everyday living. Unfortunately, as we grow older and more mature, we find less time to take pleasure in the lighter side of our lives. With Life is a Buffet, Polly Boyette reminds us that it’s okay to skip over the main courses and head straight for the desserts. So go ahead and laugh.

Doesn’t this sound great? I enjoy laughing (who doesn’t), especially about the silly stuff I sometimes do or say…I can not wait to get my hands on this book…
A special thanks goes to Heather at Mom 2 Mom Connection, who actually had a post about becoming a reviewer. By the way – Heather has become one of my daily reads in this huge blogsphere. If you have time, check our her blog. She might become one of your daily reads as well.

Who Posted What this Week…

JoyYeah, believe it or not, but it is already Wednesday again! So, lets see who posted what the past few days. I have to tell you, I need to stop discovering new Blogs, but what can I say, I like to read other Blogs. BTW, have you noticed, I don’t link to political Blogs. You know why? Because I don’t read them – ha! I can’t vote in this country anyway due to my citizenship ~ still German (till the day I die I might add)…So, I have really nothing to say about the political issues. I like to read more up-lifting and fun Blogs anyway. If you are looking for political Blogs, you need to find them on your own…lol!

Okay, now to the real post. As you know I have been participating in the Carnival of Beauty established by Sallie at Two Talent Living. What a joy it is for me to be part of this wonderful carnival. This week the carnival is hosted by Amanda, who currently resides in Taiwan. Check out the wonderful posts by 11 different women. If you haven’t had the chance yet to visit them, please do it this week. The topic: The Beauty of Service. BTW – yours truly will be hosting next week’s carnival – I will post more details on Friday (01/27/06). If you haven’t taken part before, I pray that you will next week. The topic: gentleness (my favorite fruit of the Spirit)…

But as always, I have a few more choices for you:

  • Jane at ‘Jane Loves Tarzan’ had good things happen to her! But as I was linking to her post, I noticed that she tagged me with a meme – hmmmm…
  • Vicki at ‘Windows to my Soul’ comforted me with her post yesterday – Thank you!
  • No Average Girl had an awesome question about if God changes or not – but read it for yourself!
  • Radical One at Favorite Sister’s Thought has a grandma who is Single, Lonesome and Looking! Oh I really enjoy visiting Lisa’s Blog…She always has great family pictures posted and I always feel very much at home when I stop by. So check out her Blog!
  • Sallie at Two Talent Living is celebrating her anniversary. Please stop by her Blog today and congratulate her & David!
  • Present Storm has a follow up post regarding her doctor’s appointment and had wonderful news to share.
  • Heather at Mom 2 Mom has a great book recommendation. It is on my ‘to read’ list.
  • Jillian’s hubby told the story about “The Really Horrible Fourth of July” – I really would like to be a fly on the wall at their home sometimes.
  • PM posted some pictures of her bathroom – cool in blue!

Oh, there are so many Blogs I read, but I would sit here for hours upon hours to put this post together. I still have to do some chores, so please check out my sidebar and explore the Blogs I read. They are well worth it…
Until next time ~ Eph2810
