Blessed Easter

Easter 2006“On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.” – Luke 24:1-8 (NIV)

Isn’t it great that we can look to the cross for our own ‘resurrection’ of our dead bodies and spirit? I am blessed that Jesus took the nail in His hands and feet, the spear in His side for me. Some days I can not understand why He did it, but I am sure glad that it is finished. Have a blessed Easter my dear readers. Carnival ~ Texas Style…

Carol's PictureThis week’s carnival hostess Carol at She Lives has done an incredible job. Carol is hosting 15 posts from women across the country and the ocean. How awesome to read all those thoughts about ‘aging gracefully, this week’s carnival topic…I have snuck already and feasted on a couple of posts. Awesome and very encouraging to read, especially if you are my age .

I want to take the opportunity to welcome all bloggers that have submitted for the first time (believe, there are a lot – at least what I could see)…So, click on over to Carol and feast on some wholesome posts…

New Carnival Topics & A Reminder

Please visit Sallie’s blog Two Talent Living for the new topics of the upcoming carnivals. The topics range from flowers, technology to beginnings & endings. Check them out for yourself here...

If you have never participated in a carnival, I pray and hope you will. One of my blogging buddies, Blair, has coined a new phrase; carnival blogging and hosting are “blessings on steroids“. And she is so right. Although it takes a couple of hours to put a carnival post together, but the blessing you receive is much greater than a couple of hours of work…

The next carnival is hosted by Amanda at Following an unknown Path. The deadline is Tuesday, March 28th, 3pm ESt and the topic is ‘Flowers‘. Visit Amanda’s blog for submission instructions and Sallie’s blog for submission guidelines…So, get your thinking cap on and let your fingers fly over the keyboard.

And for the reminder: The LBY Bible study will start on Monday, March 27th. You hostess on this blogging Bible study is Lauren at Created for HIS Glory…God is good – all the time!!!

American Idol?!

No, I am not watching the show (don’t watch much TV ~ really), but I got a message in my inbox today. I am a huge Travis Cottrell fan. Travis and his praise team usually travel with Beth Moore. They are the best worship team I have ever heard live – they just draw you in – even if you don’t know the songs.

Anyway, because I don’t watch American Idol, I didn’t know that one of the gals from the praise team is currently on the show. She has a tremendous voice. If you watch the show, look for Mandisa (and maybe vote for her , only if you like her though)…I do hope she wins, because she is a woman of God and the entertainment industry sure is in need of more Godly women…
