Thankful Thursday ~ Random

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” ~ Psalm 28:7 (ESV)

No special thoughts this week, because my brain is on overload over the last couple of weeks. Today I just want to thank my Lord for the His work in my life and for the things around me…

  • Thank You Lord for never giving up on me. I praise You that You always seem to find someone or something that will lead me back on the narrow path…away from the path of destruction…

  • Thank You Lord for the beautiful spring weather we are still enjoying here in Arizona…

  • Thank You Lord for showing me what I needed to get rid off in my life so I am able to fix my eyes on eternal things again…

  • Thank You Lord for lifting my spirits. It was so wonderful to have Daniel home for a couple of hours this past weekend…

  • Thank You Lord for the quality time my beloved and I had over this long weekend. It was wonderful to smile and even laugh again…

  • Thank You Lord for Your incredible mercy and grace…The only thing I can do is praise Your name because of it…

  • Thank You Lord for my mom who always will have an encouraging word for me…

  • Thank You Lord for wonderful girlfriends in God who are patient, loving and praying…I wouldn’t know what I would do without Your servants who are willing to reach out to the hurting…

  • Thank You Lord for music. Worship music is the best thing that will get me through a workday…

  • Last but not least – Thank You Lord for preachers and teachers that are willing to share Your Word with all of us who are willing to listen…

Thankful Thursday ~ Joy

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.” ~ Psalm 51:12 (ESV – emphasis mine)

As I was sitting down to write my Thankful post this week, the words “Lamb of God” kept coming back. As I was sitting in church today for the Ash Wednesday service, tears were flowing down my face. Not because I was sad, but because my heart was overflowing with joy. A joy that comes from knowing that the Lord loves me – no matter what. So, I though it would be an appropriate theme for me this week…

  • Thank You Lord for going to Calvary for me so that I may spend eternity with You. Lord, continue to uphold my willing spirit to serve You where ever I can…

  • I am thankful that the Lord reminds me that I am at where He wants me. Although I am not always happy about decisions that are made at work, I can have an attitude of joy (more about that in my devotion tomorrow at LWG)…

  • I am thankful for my marriage. Although we have had our ups and downs, I am joyful to be married to my Sweetheart. He makes me laugh when my day was not that great…

  • I am thankful that our son is doing so well. I already have gotten used to him no living here. But then again, we also have regular contact with him. He is going to Japan with his friends this summer – I think that he might check things out to see if he would like to live there for a little while…

  • I am thankful that I learn more and more about Photoshop. It is such a joy to create digital LO’s with Photoshop. I am even scanning photos from our son’s baby-age 😛 …

  • I am thankful for Mugs of Truth. It gives me great joy that a company has made its goal to share God’s truth on merchandise 🙂 . Mugs of Truth is having a sale right now on their bracelets. Thankful Thursday ~ Compassion

Good evening Ladies 🙂 – How was your week? I hope that you had a great one. Although I had my ups and downs this past week, the Lord truly has been teaching me quite a few things about compassion…

  • Thank You Lord for teaching me through Your Word about compassion. I am grateful that You constantly work on my heart so I can see things Your way…

  • Thank you my dear friends that you have not passed judgment on my post about fear I had published last Sunday at Laced with Grace…

  • Thank you Linda and Mama Bear for the wonderful awards you have graced Sting my Heart with this past week…I was blown away since I haven’t been blogging this much. I will make sure that I will pass on these awards in the up-coming week…

  • Thank You Lord for quiting my heart today. I was a little up-set that much is expected to be completed. You reminded me that I honor You by doing my work with the cheerful heart (and don’t grumble so much…)…

  • Thank You Lord for showing Your compassion to “On the Rock” and her beloved. Thank You for gracing her family with a little baby boy…

  • Thank you my beloved Sweetheart – you are a gem! I know that I don’t make sense sometimes and you don’t always understand me…but you still love me…

Thankful Thursday ~ All About Grace

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. ~ Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV)

Before I share my thankfulness with you this week, I would like to thank Crystal, Laurel and Lynn for hosting Thankful Thursday for me the past 3 months. Wow – the time went fast. I am glad to be back blogging. I missed it, but also got some things cleared up in my hear about blogging…

Second, I want to announce the winners of my little impromptu giveaway of the “Iris Kit” designed by Michelle Pieters. The winners are Josie (2BoysMom) and Denise Walden. Congratulation Ladies – I will send the gift certificates tonight to you so you can purchase the kit at Gotta Pixel.

Now to my short thankful list this week: All About Grace (grace is defined as ‘unmerited favor’ either of God or from one to another. Isn’t His grace beautiful?

  • I am thankful that He was pierced for my transgressions. That His grace saved me – not for what I have done, but what He has done at the cross…

  • I am thankful with a dear friend of mine. I just love when God shows up when we least expect it. The joy is indescribables…

  • I am thankful that God allows me to share what He has done for me and that it sometimes touches someone. Thank You, Lord…

  • I am thankful that His grace is never-ending. I have messed up so many times in my life – big and small, He still loves me…

  • I am thankful for the times my friend have extended grace to me over the years…

  • I am thankful that my Sweetheart extends grace when I mess up things or just plain forget. I can’t believe that he has stuck with me for almost 25 years…
