“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
~ Romans 15:4-7 (ESV)
What Sting My Heart is thankful for this week:
- I am thankful that I can read God’s Word any time I feel the need for it. I have my Bible with me where ever I go. I have it on my desk all day at work. His Word gives me comfort and encouragement when I am down – especially when co-workers are mean to each other…
- I am thankful that my Sweetheart always encourages me — what ever I would like to do, he supports me — he rocks!!!!
- I am thankful that our son really, really likes his job. It encourages me to see that he has so much enthusiasm. He doesn’t even mind riding the bus every day. On Sundays I take him though, because the bus doesn’t run in our part of the valley. No big deal. It give me time to chat with him…
- I am thankful that TNChick installed WP 2.1 for me (thank you TN – you rock too!!!). It encourages me to know that I have someone in Tennessee who helps me out when I am a wuss…
- I am thankful for the book I am currently reading. Darlene has a way to encourage women to take themselves not so serious. There is only one thing that we should take serious – staying in the Word of God!!!! BTW – please check out the quote I picked for next week’s CWO “In Other Words” (should be up on Friday — but I will post it again on Sunday night here) — it is from “The Mom Complex“. Don’t forget – the February issue of CWO should be up by the time you are reading this…
By now you are probably wondering why I picked “Encouragement” for my issue of Thankful Thursday. It is time to introduce you to the “Encourager of the Month ~ January 2007″…
This month’s recipient is a wonderful woman from the East Coast…She is a kindred spirit. She always knows the right words to say. We email often. She willingly ‘jumps in’ for me at Laced with Grace. She is encouraging to me (and many others on-line), because she doesn’t hold back when she struggles. I like that. I am sure by now you know who it is — right? Of course… Sissy at “The Whippoorwill Chronicles“.
Sissy, thank you so much for encouraging me with your kind spirit. Thank you for listening to me when I have “one of those daysâ€â€¦I hope that you will except my little award.
Please leave your link below, visit other participants when you have time and leave a comment…And I like your comments too 😉
Blessings on your day and as always…
