Thankful Thursday ~ Faithfulness

“Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones! For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord, a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around him?.” ~ Psalm 89:5-7 (ESV ~emphasis mine)

I am not sure what happened last night when I was laying in bed next to my Sweetheart. All of a sudden, my mind was racing, my heart pounding and all I could do was thanking my Lord for His faithfulness. I really can’t explain it, but I was just laying there to thank Him for what He has done in my life and the life of others around me…It was beautiful 🙂 .

Here is my list for this week (I’ll keep it short, so you can read many others this week)…

  • I am thankful that You, oh Lord, been faithful to me. Although I just like to ‘take’ off without You in new adventures, You always make sure that I will slow down if need be…

  • I am thankful that my dear friend Terri and her hubby Scott finally got the referral this week. They have been waiting for six long years. God was faithful through the entire time — to give strength and peace to Terri and her family during the waiting period. Please check out her post – experience the joy with them…

  • I am thankful for Saturday mornings. We have had some awesome family breakfasts together. I guess our son is realizing that he has a pretty good home…

  • I am thankful that the Lord got us through the summer – financially. I will share a little more about that on Friday at LWG…Thank you Lord for friends who have a huge heart…

  • I am thankful Connie from “Little Red Hearts From God” accepted the invitation to write for the Laced with Grace blog. Please welcome Connie when you have a chance…Thank you Lord for Connie’s willingness…

  • I am thankful that Michelle has been very patient with me. Her willingness to share her knowledge in digital scrap-booking is incredible. The coolest thing — we talk about Christ in our online conversations 😛 …

  • And of course, I am thankful for my upcoming vacation — two more week – PTL …

From the Bottom of My Heart…

Over the past several weeks, Sting My Heart received award nominations from these very dear ladies: Crystal, Dawn, Crystal, Sharon and Debbie. I didn’t mean to ignore your kindness toward my blog. Between finishing my first ever interview (more about that at the end of this month), working, being wife and mom, administering Laced with Grace, writing devotionals….well, I just haven’t had the time to respond.

I am so thankful that our Lord is using my little place on the Internet to encourage you…So, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for these awards you graced Sting my Heart with:

    Encourager of the Month ~ July’07

    For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. ~ Romans 1:11-12 (NLT)

    Sting My Heart Award

    I am sorry, I am little late this month for giving out my little award…I have been a little preoccupied (I’ll share a little more in my devotion at LWG on Wednesday why I have been busy)…

    This month’s recipient has been a huge encourager to me this past month. She already has gone through what I am going through right now–she has grown kids (didn’t realize how hard it is to let go and let God)…Anyway, she has a beautiful family and already has grandchildren. She has a sweet spirit and her blog is a comfort zone for me and many others…She lives in Texas (maybe that is why her heart is so big 😛 ) with her wonderful husband…

    Linda, thank you so much for encouraging me all.the.time…not only in July. You encouragement on your blog; your testimony that the world will still turn when the kids are out of the house has tremendously helped me over the past month and 1/2. Thank you for being such a blessing to others and especially to me. I hope that you will accept my little “Encourager of the Month” award…

    Thankful Thursday ~ Blessings

    “Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.

    Do you ever have those days where you just feel totally defeated? When everything you touch just goes wrong; or you have to jump another hurtle? Girls (I am not discriminating, but I know that I don’t have any male readers 😀 ), I just had some of those days. Than God stepped in and shook me. I was about to write a Thankful post on Monday. On the days when I am down, God pours out His mercy with a huge bucket. But let me share with you…

    • I am thankful that God shakes me once in a while to remind me why I am blogging. I want to share with my readers my struggles that are met with His mercies. I want to decrease so that my Lord increases (paraphrased John 3:30). What a blessing it is that our Lord’s mercies are brand new every day…

    • I am thankful that God blessed me with an incredible patient, tenderhearted and encouraging husband. I don’t know how I would survive without my Sweetheart beside me…

    • I am thankful that God blessed me with some incredible friendships that developed over the internet. Thank you Laurel, Lynn and Terri to stand in the cap for me ALL.THE.TIME…

    • I am thankful that God blessed me with access to the internet. When I need encouragement during the week, I can just click on some Bible teachers at OnePlace.com. Not only did I listen to Beth’s continued study on Romans on Monday, but Pastor Ingram had a message that I think was straight from God (Spiritual Warfare 101). I don’t think that I clicked on that particular message by chance…

    • I am thankful that God blessed me with talented friends. Heather at Graced by Christ is a very talented artist and she has a giveaway in honor of her one year blog anniversary. Go check it out. I would love to have a painting from her…
