Thankful Thursday ~ Laughter

“When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad.” ~ Psalm 126:1-3 (ESVemphasis mine)

For some reason, this past week has been flown by in no time. Here we are again meeting for Thankful Thursday—and I love it. There is nothing better than counting your blessings. How about you? Let me share me little list with you and I hope you will join me by leaving your link below and/or comment…

  • I am thankful that I serve a God that I can run to when I am hurting, need rest and am plain exhausted. He always puts a smile on my face…Thank You Lord…
  • I am thankful that my Sweetheart and I will celebrate our 24th anniversary this Sunday. Although there have been tears once in a while, there have been much more laughter during our marriage…
  • I am thankful for just being silly sometimes and laugh so hard that it hurts—with tears flowing down my face. As I told you, my laptop crashed last week; my Sweetheart fixed it, but by Saturday afternoon I had crashed my Photoshop software. I used an .exe file to get to the program. I don’t know why I laughed so hard. Or maybe it was my email exchange with Laurel. We both keep downloading digi-scrapping material but don’t produce many LO – we just love the download I guess. Yes, we admitted to each other that we are addicted to the downloads 😀 …
  • I am thankful for a gift-certificate that I have received from my dear friend Terri to this place. The facial might help to get rid of some of my laugh-lines. Or I will have my first ever manicure—which certainly will put a smile on my face…
  • I am thankful for my mom’s laugh. When we talk on Saturdays, we laugh often…
  • Last but not least, I am thankful for Miss Peppermint’s digi-material. Her site is my personal favorite. She has once a month a wonderful freebie. I have also purchased some material from her, because I just love her style…and I did create several LO’s with her material 😉 …

Blessings on your Thursday and as always…

Encourager of the Month ~ Apr’07

For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. ~ Romans 1:11-12 (NLT)

Sting My Heart Award

I really have been blessed by God with the women He has surrounded me with here in Bloggyland. Some of my readers have become dear friends as well. Yeah, I know, most of them I have not met IRL (except one), but I know that we would hit it off if we would meet this side of heaven. It would be no different with this month’s recipient…

She is not only an encouragement to me, but to many others on the Internet, especially to the ones that are seeking to adopt. She has some wonderful resources for parents who are willing to adopt. When I visit Thankful Thursday participants, she usually already left an encouraging comment…And she writes once a month for LWG to give me a little breather…

Terri, you truly have been an encourager to me and many others. I pray that your son will recover quickly from his accident and you will find rest while you are caring for him. And no, I am not sending the encouragement award your way because of the gift, but because what you have said to me: “You’ve been an amazing friend to me in such a short period of time but more importantly you really bless me. You really inspire me to be in God’s Word more and be true to Him on a daily basis.” (emphasis mine) I am humbled to know that God is using my feeble attempts to draw others into a closer relationship with Him…Terri, I hope you accept my little award ~ Be blessed today and always! And maybe God will allow us to meet this side of heaven

Lunch with Laurel…

Lunch with Laurel

QP credit: Sammy D Kreations

…was awesome! Have you ever met someone for lunch you have never seen, but felt like you were best friends forever? That is how I felt when I met Laurel today. Sure I was a little nervous, but as soon as we gave each other a hug, the ice was broken–at least for me. I was sad that the two hours we chatted flew by in no time.

Oh, you are wondering what we had for lunch? Glad you asked. A yummy cheese-bread and a Mexican chicken salad. I think we could have shared the salad — they were huge. Laurel had ice-tea and your’s truly had diet Pepsi. I wish I wouldn’t drink diet Pepsi, but I started about a month ago after a year of abstinence *sigh* (we have a huge soda fountain at work–it is free)…

I am glad that the Lord gave us the opportunity to meet face-to-face before we get to heaven 🙂 – You know, Laurel and I had to agree. The Christian blogging community is so amazing. And we are both thrilled to be part of it.

Thank you Laurel for the wonderful time and thank you for the beautiful pendant from Florida…I hope to talk to you soon. Don’t forget to call me when you are in the Metro Phoenix area again…

Blessings to your Friday evening and as always…

Award Time…

Yes, I know it is really bad–I am two weeks behind on my “Encourager of the Month”. Time has been flying by–I don’t even know which day we have any more. I had to install a calendar on my laptop to know if I am off or have to work (the current day lights up 😀 )…but I digress…

Many of you know her. She has brought many Christian women together. Actually, she is hosting the biggest Christian women Blogring. God is using her talent of communication to glorify His name on the Internet…She has a sweet Canadian accent…you can find her smiling at you from the top of her blog.

Sting My Heart Award

Darlene, you have been an encourager to me since last year and it is about time that I present to you the “Encourager of the Month ~ March 2007″…Because of you, I want to write better. I know that I still have a long way to go, so thank you for the opportunity to contribute to CWO’s Internet Cafe. You support me with prayers to hold fast to the dream God has placed in my heart…I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart. I hope you except my little award. And by the way: Happy Birthday, Darlene.
