Thankful Thursday ~ Relationships

This week I have been thinking a lot about relationships…off-line and online. So I thought I will share a list of the wonderful relationships the Lord has blessed me with…

  • Thank You Lord for giving me the opportunity to commune with You every.single.day. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for my sins in order that I have a close relationship with You…

  • Thank You Lord for restoring my relationship to my husband over 2 years ago. He is my best friend, lover, confidant…

  • Thank You Lord for a wonderful relationship with our son. Although he no longer lives at home, he calls, visits and is very much relaxed about it all…

  • Thank You Lord for bringing women into my life that are there to pray, support and lift me up when ever I need it…

  • Thank You Lord for a great resources like Christian Women Online. Women can meet and find other women that think alike…

  • Thank You Lord for wonderful co-workers that stand up for each other and help each other out…

  • Thank You Lord for bringing women together every Thursday to share their thanks and blessings with each other…

  • Thank You Lord for the wonderful blogging teams at Laced with Grace and CWO’s Internet Cafe…

Thankful Thursday has been a huge part of my online life for almost 2 years now, especially the past 8 months. I love it and I thank the Lord every Thursday for your participation.

Many things have been going on in my life (as in all our lives), especially work. I have been working long hours that resulted in frying my brain pretty much every night. I had some other issues, but I don’t want digress (well, this is harder than I thought 😆 )…All I wanted to say is that I will be taking an extended blogging break here on Sting My Heart.

I am very thankful that three of my very dear online friends are willing to host Thankful Thursday during my absence. Thank you Laurel, Lynn and Crystal for not letting Thankful Thursday ‘die’.

I pray and hope that you, my dear readers, will continue with Thankful Thursday during this time. I still will be posting on Laced with Grace and CWO’s Internet Cafe…I hope to see you there…

Thankful Thursday ~ Rejoice

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

If you have been visiting my blog for a while, you will have noticed that I quote often from the book of Philippians. It is my favorite epistle lesson from Paul. If I need a little ‘pep-talk’, I turn to the pages of Philippians — it makes my heart sing (maybe I should change my blog to something from Philippians–hehe)…So today, my focus of Thankful Thursday is rejoice/joy…

  • I am thankful that God always finds a way to put joy back into my heart. No matter how down I am, He finds a way through His Word, music, spouse and friends…

  • I am thankful that I have a great group at work that is working together, helping each other out. No selfishness in that group. That is very rare in the corporate world and it brings me joy to be part of that group…

  • I am thankful that my beloved helped me with a serious matter this past week. He put the joy of being online back into my heart…

  • I am thankful that Carol is back online. She always makes me smile, laugh, think – pure joy…

  • I am thankful that Angie accepted our invitation to write for Laced with Grace, while Terri is on extended writing break. I am always uplifted, encouraged and joyful when I see Angie’s faith…

  • I am thankful for Darlene’s new column “Live Well“. I so enjoyed it reading it this month (I missed last month). If you have not read it, I encourage you to do so…

  • I am thankful for Christian artists that take their ‘job’ serious and base most of their music on Scripture passages. Those songs put joy into my heart…

  • I am thankful that I will be hosting IOW next week. I always enjoy reading different takes on the same quote. Come back Friday to find out which quote I have picked…

Thankful Thursday ~ Random VI

Oh.my.goodness! Is it just me, or do the weeks truly just fly by any more? I can’t believe that Christmas is around the corner…

Here is my thankful list for this week — just gonna ‘throw’ some random thoughts at you today…

  • I am thankful for God’s unconditional love. No matter what I have done, or where I have been — He washed everything away. I am as white as snow because of the blood of the Lamb…

  • I am thankful for God’s daily provision…

  • I am thankful that my post at LWG had a more positive response than I thought I would have. God is good – He can take my feeble writing attempts and turn it into something positive…

  • I am thankful that my Sweetheart loves me — not matter what. Even when I get a little crazy or I am just plain silly 😛 …

  • I am thankful that our son is enjoying being on his own AND that he calls us – PTL….

  • I am thankful that I got a call from my former employer — they miss me…

  • I am thankful for sweet friends who gave awards to Sting my Heart and Laced with Grace. I hope that I will be able to post about it by Sunday…

  • I am thankful for awesome friends who made my birthday really, really special…

  • I am thankful for Mugs of Truth. Not only did Greg and his wife sent me a very cool purse and cup for my birthday, but I like what Greg shared with me: “I love the Word of God…it has changed my life, and He has given me a deep desire to share His Word and make ways for others to share His Word, and the coffee mugs have provided the perfect vessel upon which to do this.” That is why I like articles with Scripture passages on them. I love carrying my Scripture purses–people will know Who I belong to–it is not a secret. Thank you Greg for your wonderful ministry–may our Lord continue bless your ministry. BTW – the mugs are really cool — my Sweetheart coveth my awesome “Son-Rise” cup…
