Memorial Day ~ a day to remember the service men and women who have put their lives on hold and even gave their life for our freedom. Please pray for the current members who are serving their country in conflict situations and thank the ones who did leave their life in the battlefields. Being German, I didn’t know all the history of Memorial Day, I found this history page on-line.
But as I was thinking about Memorial Day and its meaning, Someone else came to mind. He gave His life for our freedom too. The service men and women gave us physical freedom, but He gave us spiritual freedom and eternity in heaven. So as you are fiering up the grill this afternoon, thank Him too.
Living in His grace ~ Eph2810
Thank you so much for reminding me of this. How in the world could I forget it? I guess it’s always that Memorial Day represented to me our soldiers and the freedom’s we have, however, as you pointed out, there WAS A GREATER SACRIFICE for us, and I hadn’t thought of HIM! Again, thanks so much for gently reminding me….I’m saying a thank you to Him right now!
~~hugs~~
