Yesterday my friend Laurel posted 7 facts about herself. I thought, since I haven’t done a ‘fact-about-me’ for a very, very long, I join in on her meme 😛 …
So, here it goes…
- I shop daily for groceries. It works much better for the two of us — stopping at the store on my way home.
- Our son calls me a ‘tree-hugger’ (what ever that means). I bring my own grocery bags to the store — I refuse to use plastic/paper bags. I guess it has to do with my up-bringing in Germany. I am used to bringing my own bags.
- I can not stand red sauce on pizza. I like my pizza with lots of cheese, EVOO, tomatoes, and basil.
- I am compulsive-obsessive. Every bowl, plate, paper has to be straight – I can not stand when things are out of order.
- I like to wear high-heel shoes 🙂 – Believe it or not, but they are more comfortable than my tennis shoes (maybe I need a better pair of tennis-shoes 😉 ).
- I like publishing my blog on WordPress, but it is a pain to keep current with their constant up-grades/up-dates. I still will not go back to Blogger.
- I will not shop at ***Mart, because of their tactics with their suppliers. Many American companies (small and large) had to close their doors because of it. I could write an entire blog about this subject matter — but not tonight.
So, did you read something new you didn’t know about me? If you are posting some facts about yourself, please do let me know in the comment section. I would love to get to know you a little better.
Have a blessed evening and as always…
I loved reading this. I just recently bought my own shopping bags. I would like to say it is because I am a tree-hugger also, but if I am honest it is because they finally got cute pink bags, heheh =)
Thanks for doing this.
Hi, Iris… I love these memes. It’s so much fun to learn more about each other. I was tagged for a similar meme a couple of weeks ago. My answers will post tomorrow.
Have a great week!
This was fun learning new things about you sweetie.
Iris—how neat! I could definitely EAT PIZZA with you!
I may have to work on a 7 layer list!
Thanks for your sweet words of encouragement on our Bible Study posts and my blog—
I did learn something…I didn’t know you didn’t like ***Mart. I didn’t know all the stuff you know about it…I just don’t like going because of the crowds (on those days) and lack of “checkers”. But sometimes I just haveta. We have a small grocery store in our town that you can really get better deals on most stuff. But their hours of operation are not always the best 🙂
Now, about your grocery bags…I wonder if I could convince you and Laurel to show me a picture…I am very interested!
I enjoyed reading the random facts about you. I’m impressed with your stance against Squall-Mart, as I call it…
I am so impressed! I love your pizza, carry my own shopping bags, and hate the big Mart, too! We could be real life buddies. 🙂
So….you love to where high heals more than tennis shoes…hmmmm. Nope, didn’t know that. But I guess i could say the same thing if my clogs count as high heals. 🙂
I enjoyed learning about you! I like WordPress too, but their templates are a BORE! LOL
I didn’t know any of the those things, but my favorite was finding out about the high heels. I wish I could wear them more (I have bad knees and it makes it hard at times to stay in high heels for long).
Loved that you are so full of the JOY of the Lord! Blessings to you!
Thanks for this list-what great joy is available to us everyday. I agree with you joy flows from the inside.
Love this post. So Thankful for digital cameras on my end too…I just LOVE capturing joy (and sometimes pain) but mostly joy!
Great post and blessings for today~!
Well, I’m with you on the …Mart thing! I’m refusing to shop there anymore. But as for the high heels. I’d kill myself! I’m such a clutz, I need those ‘tennis shoes’.
Fun to read about you.
Maybe you should write about ***Mart.
Thanks for making me smile. And thanks for cmmenting about my laughter post!
Thankful for you. And enjoyed your JOY post too!
hey there! 🙂 I’m a wordpress fan too! do you self-host? if so, the best way (imho) to keep current is by getting the automatic upgrade plugin. I was a little leery of it at first, but it’s now successfully taken me through all of the upgrades from 2.2 to 2.62!
