…and you thought that I post another picture from San Carols 😀 . I thought I’d give you something different this time. This river is in our ‘back-yard’ (technically). Anything within a 30 minuted driving distance is…The Salt River actually runs water pretty much all year long–the currents can get quite strong too. Many use the river to go ‘tubing’ and cool off when we hit the 115’s.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Saturday…

Hope you have a blessed weekend.
I love how you designed around your photo. What a pretty place to visit. When I read that it can get to 115 degrees F all I could think was “YIKES!!!” I have never been in that hot of weather. You are very hearty. Thanks for sharing the beautiful photo, for stopping by and have a nice weekend.

WOW, if that’s the case, I’ve got lots of rivers, lakes, creeks, streams, ponds in my back yard!!! Love it! I just love water. Marvelous presentation, Iris. Thanks for sharing and for visiting My Photo Blog.
HAPPY SATURDAY!!!
I’m impressed by your ‘digi scrappin’….I am spending the day doing it the old fashioned way…but I hope to devote some time Sunday to my new digi scrap program…is it as easy as it looks?
That is beautiful! Have a great Saturday!
What a fabulous “postcard”. How lucky for you to have this in your “backyard” Happy hunting
What a beautiful “backyard” and I love the border! I hope there’s no snakes back there!
The water looks so beautifully blue…
And “backyard” – heh, to us anything at 30 mins driving distance is the next town 😀
Great photo and I love the design on the photo.
This is a great picture for the theme. Have you been getting some rain out there recently? I’ve heard of flooding in several areas and it doesn’t take much to flood in the desert SW.
115, Eek!
I’d love to play in the water! =) Looks beautiful! Nice scrap, too.
Nice photo, pretty scene!!
We go tubing, too. Here in Atlanta it’s called ‘Shootin’ the Hooch’ which means tubing down the Chattachooee River.
Simply beautiful! Now THAT looks like my kind of “peaceful” place to be!
ohhh fun. i went tubing when i went to visit friends that live near the grand canyon. it was super duper fun! especially because it was super duper HOT!
We literally have a river in our back yard. In our area it is called a bayou. It is not fast moving–but it has some great fishing. Your view is much more beautiful than ours.
Great artistry done to your photo! I love the look of it! Funny, we have a Salt River near me too…only its more like a Salt Trickle! My photos are up, please come and visit soon
I love what you did with the photo. The overlay really enhances the image. It looks like you have a gift with this digital scrapbooking thing!
It looks like a lovely river. Rafting or tubing sounds like fun!
I love it very nice! Beautiful Picture!
Very nice backyard,lol
You have a beautiful blog and a beautiful backyard.
Wow! What a great job of enhancing the photo! I’d love to learn how to do that…
I’m from Bakersfield – we don’t get quite that hot, but almost. But it’s a DRY heat, right???
Due to the drought, the city fathers are talking about diverting the Kern River to the fields and not letting it flow through town. It’s too bad but the farmer’s have to come first!
~~~Blessings~~~
INCREDIBLE!!!! that is stunning – great shot and effects!
115°!!! That is awful! Thank goodness you have the river! Is it salty? It looks gorgeous!
More than anything I love the way you digiscrapped this. 🙂
