Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre;
make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!
(Psalm 33:2 ESV)
Some times I wonder if we will have real books in 10 or 20 years. I have to admit that digital books are great (don’t need much room for them except on your reading device). However, I still like to read real books. My husband smiled at me the other day as I was reading Iscariot by Tosca Lee. He said: “I like that you still read real books.” Me too honey 🙂 …
Well, I finally finished reading “Iscariot” and I truly enjoyed it. I would give it 5 stars out of 5, but I had trouble understanding some of the words. I never heard or read some of them before (e.g. mikva). But I still did not deter me to finish the book; it just took me a little longer. I really liked how Tosca Lee took a different look at Judas and his relationship with Jesus. Yes, it is a fiction book, but Miss Lee conducted extensive research before writing the novel. I truly recommend this book. I hope you will check it out.
So, this week, I am thankful for authors that still publish real books 🙂 . Have you read any good/great books lately?

the book i’m reading now aside from His word is the lupus bible which i’m learning a lot from regarding my condition. praying and believing for complete healing.
I love to read. I don’t think I’ve heard of this author. I’m so thankful for books too. That makes me sad to think of no print books or kids growing up without them!
I love reading “real” books too. I do read on my Nook, but always end up reverting back to the real thing. Right now I’m reading The Circle Maker: Praying Circles Around Your Biggest Dreams by Mark Batterson. It’s amazing!!!
I am VERY resistant to the idea of e-reading. While I spend a fair bit of time reading blogs online, I can’t wrap my head around the idea of NOT being able to hold a book in my hand!! I hope that will never be the case, but I too, fear the day is probably not far off when publishers won’t publish actual books anymore.
I am so grateful for good authors though! And that the world of Christian writing has so expanded over the last decade or so. It used to be tough to find really well-written books by Christian authors, but thankfully that isn’t the case anymore!!
