“Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones! For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord, a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around him?.” ~ Psalm 89:5-7 (ESV ~emphasis mine)
I am not sure what happened last night when I was laying in bed next to my Sweetheart. All of a sudden, my mind was racing, my heart pounding and all I could do was thanking my Lord for His faithfulness. I really can’t explain it, but I was just laying there to thank Him for what He has done in my life and the life of others around me…It was beautiful 🙂 .
Here is my list for this week (I’ll keep it short, so you can read many others this week)…
- I am thankful that You, oh Lord, been faithful to me. Although I just like to ‘take’ off without You in new adventures, You always make sure that I will slow down if need be…
- I am thankful that my dear friend Terri and her hubby Scott finally got the referral this week. They have been waiting for six long years. God was faithful through the entire time — to give strength and peace to Terri and her family during the waiting period. Please check out her post – experience the joy with them…
- I am thankful for Saturday mornings. We have had some awesome family breakfasts together. I guess our son is realizing that he has a pretty good home…
- I am thankful that the Lord got us through the summer – financially. I will share a little more about that on Friday at LWG…Thank you Lord for friends who have a huge heart…
- I am thankful Connie from “Little Red Hearts From God” accepted the invitation to write for the Laced with Grace blog. Please welcome Connie when you have a chance…Thank you Lord for Connie’s willingness…
- I am thankful that Michelle has been very patient with me. Her willingness to share her knowledge in digital scrap-booking is incredible. The coolest thing — we talk about Christ in our online conversations 😛 …
- And of course, I am thankful for my upcoming vacation — two more week – PTL …
What are you thankful for this week? Please do share with us. Please leave your link below — make sure that the link is leading to your blog (I had to remove a couple last week, because the links didn’t work).
In case I am ‘disappearing’ this weekend from the Internet — I am moving hopefully to a new hosting company. The only problem is that my old contract runs out on Saturday and my new host does not have the approval for my URL yet…But I put my trust in Him — I know that all will go well.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Be blessed today and as always…

I’m glad to hear you’re having some good bonding time with your son before he moves out. Are Saturday morning breakfasts a tradition for you?
Iris,
I am always impressed with your list. Each and every week you are thankful for the people in your lives. It encourages me so much. I am looking forward to your post on Friday. Love you, me
PTL. I really enjoy reading your list and love the “topic”. ” Faithfulness”. I have never known anyone or anything as Faithful as He is to me. I hear the words to hymn
” Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.”
Be Blessed:)
Stacy
Stopping by to ck in on you! I posted a thankful post today but it’s a little out of your usual format so I’m not placing it in your “Mr. Linky”. But, I needed the encouragement and the example of those who stuck to it, pushed thru it, and published one anyway. *wink*
God is faithful, or I would not be trying my hand at homeschooling. I am seriously at peace with a decision “I just knew” would be wrong for me…
God pulled me out of my comfort zone and helped me do what was right for my kid. Praise you, Jesus!
T-minus 2 weeks, Iris! Wahoo!
BTW…Connie is a puuuurrrrfect pick for LWG. 🙂
I too am thrilled to death for Teri!! I know she can’t wait to get a hold of that precious baby girl!
Connie is an excellent choice for LWG – Congratulations to both of you…:)
Iris, it’s kind of neat that number 14 linked to your site! Not sure what happened…but anyway, just have to share something. My daughter just called me, she works with handicapped adults (mentally handicapped) and one of her favorite clients passed away this afternoon 15 minutes before Tiffany arrived at her house. She is terribly shook up. She was not alone because she was with some of the “caregivers” that assist her. But she died alone in the bathroom. They didn’t discover it right away. While this is terribly sad, I did have the opportunity to share with Tiffany about the Love of God (which she knows—but the devil is trying so hard to deceive her). Pray for the family of the little lady that passed away. I don’t know their name, Tiffany didn’t tell me. And pray for my girl. The Lord is trying so hard to speak to her heart right now. It is 7:10 and I just got off the phone w/her about 10 minutes ago. Thanks for letting me share this with you.
Once again, thank you for reminding us each week to be thankful!
I didn’t get to do my Thankful Thursday this weed (I did my LWG instead) so I will join my heart with yours Iris in thanking Him for His faithfulness. I am so thankful that in every area of our lives He is always faithful.
I’m so glad to be back and doing the TT post again this week….. I have missed it so very much. I hope all goes well for you and you have a wonderful vacation.
What a great list. Thank you for sharing. Good luck with your move. I’ll be praying things go smoothly.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!!
Love Thankful Thursdays!!!
Blessings,
Dori
Oh Iris, I always enjoy your Thankful list. I know exactly what you are talking about when you related how you experienced God’s presence during your time of thanking Him for His faithfulness. I really enjoyed that and it had me smiling as well. 🙂

Your Saturday morning family breakfasts sound lovely. I might see about getting something like that started with my family.
Iris, do you think I could move in with you for the winter, the leaves are turning yellow here and I don’t want to do winter again……???? I’d be good I promise!
Iris: Tag! You’re it!
I tagged you to participate in the Green Christmas Meme since you are not really fond of the summer heat! I thought you might enjoy thinking about cooler winter weather and Christmas. 🙂
