What Sting My Heart is thankful for this week

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” ~ John 15:12-13

  • I am thankful for my friend Jesus (no link of Him, but you can reach Him via prayer). He did lay down His life for you and me. What greater friend can we have?
  • I am thankful for my friend Carol. She holds me accountable for the things I do and say.
  • I am thankful for my friend Jamie. She created a wonderful blogging spot for Laced with Grace.
  • I am thankful for my friend Vicki. When I am down, I know where I can find encouragement.
  • I am thankful for my friend Heather. Her honesty is refreshing.
  • I am thankful for my friend Darlene. Her heart for uniting women of faith in Christ is awesome.
  • I am thankful for my friend E-Mom. She always has a way to get my braincells going.
  • I am thankful for my friend Lynn. She always prays for me.
  • I am thankful for my friend Sissy. She always invites me to a chat on her porch.
  • I am thankful for my friend Chrixean. She taught me to be thankful for the little things in life.
  • I am thankful for my friend Janice. She keeps me motivated.
  • I am thankful for my friend Robin. She keeps me grounded.
  • I am thankful for my friend Diane. She reminds me to never give up on praying for someone to return to the Lord.
  • I am thankful for my friend Jillian. Her comments warm my heart.

Yes – friendships are precious. Every woman brings something different to the mixture. I am truly blessed with my on-line friendships. Do you have friendships like that? If you do, consider nominating the women for the “Sweet Scent Blog Awards” hosted by CWO. You can find details in my sidebar.

Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Thursday…

  1. Thank you also so much for your wonderful friendship, Iris. Though we’ve never really meant, I still feel blessed knowing that I have ready ear available for me to speak to whenever I need one. God bless you! My Thankfuls are up too 🙂

  2. I am blessed and truly thankful for our friendship…you have been there with encouragement instead of judgment, you have been there with patience instead of disappointment, you have been there with grins and giggles when I needed them. I have been “laced with the grace” of your friendship and I am forever grateful for that.

  6. Iris, the funny thing is, I’m MISSING my online friends. As you know (I think), ever since our trip to Florida, I’ve been “behind”–playing catch up in real life, but more so, here. I can barely get anything written, it’s difficult to respond to comments, and I MISS READING MY FRIENDS! I miss you…and others. This always surprises me, because I don’t “know” know you, you know ;)?

Like emom, I consider it an honor to be listed among your friends…and that ain’t just air blowin’ up your skirt :). Your posts remind me to be thankful at all times, and to seek Christ and see “good” in all things. That’s a great quality to offer your readers.

  7. I am thankful for you too!!! and for all my online friends. Knowing you are all out there makes the world feel less scary. The body of Christ in action!

I am truly honored to be your friend – thank you for being mine! 🙂

  8. Thank you for your friendship! I am daily amazed by the community that has developed and continues to grow in our cyber-community! Not just about the warm-fuzzies either…it’s about real life….real struggles…real joy! Our God is so real….thanks for being such a beautiful vessel of His love.

    Diane
