“‘Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! O Lord, be my helper!’
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” ~ Psalm 30:10-12 (ESV)
The last couple of days have been refreshing to me…It made me realize what a joy it is to blog. No – it is not an addiction, but for me it truly is a ministry. I am thrilled that the Lord is using my little corner of the Bloggy world to encourage, edify and minister to women around the world. If someone tells you different (about blogging I mean), don’t let them discourage you. God will use your Blog in mighty ways, believe me. Yes, we have to keep our priorities straight, e.g. your time with God (refreshment), your family, your job…Just set a schedule. Anyway, here is my thankful list for this week…
- I am thankful for the time I had with my Lord over the last five days. Thank you, Lord for making things clear to me–let me dream big and not be afraid of what You might do in my life. I am Yours–sent me wherever You want me to go…I know that You will give me the strength for whatever You have in mind…
- I am thankful that my Sweetheart is not only my lover and best friend, but also my personal computer technician. You see, my laptop crashed last night…it is back up and running tonight (still missing my scrapping stuff, but hey, that can wait)…
- I am thankful that Mother’s Day is this up-coming Sunday and I still have time to send my Mom some flowers…
- I am thankful that the Lord saw it fit for Laurel and me to meet before we get to heaven…
- I am thankful that I have friends across the US and Canada who will pray for me when I am not my cheerful self…
- I am thankful that year-end-closing is done…Big time relief!
- I am thankful that I am healthy. I sometimes take it for granted. Although I have to see a dermatologist to find out about a mark on my lip, I am confident that all is well (I promised my dentist to see a dermatologist to make sure it is not melanoma, but just freckle)…
- I am thankful that we have food on the table — daily…
- I am thankful for the Thankful Thursday “Bunch” — you all make me smile. If I have not added you to the Blogroll yet, please forgive me. Just let me know that I have missed your Blog…
- And I am thankful for “Scrappin Digi Kreations”…They have beautiful freebies every month and help me to make some pretty neat LO…
So, what are you thankful for this week? Looking forward reading your thankful lists…leave your link below and if your time permits, please visit other participants 😛 .

I am too blessed to have met you face to face this side of heaven. And there you go again, giving me more scrapping links (I found a bunch myself tonight, I need to just stop and use what I have =).
Let me know what the Dr says, you never can be to careful in the AZ sun. I too am thankful for my hubby, who has hugged me today as I am trying to get back into the swing of things (I say this knowing I have not been the most pleasant one today, hehe).
I am thankful I don’t have to work tomorrow or Friday so I can get caught up on my sleep =))
Have a great Thursday.
I needed to hear those words – “let me dream big and not be afraid.”
God Bless you,
Betty
oh yeah, being thankful for food on the table is a biggie in our house!
As always you have a great list. I’m thankful this week for my mom who is 82 years old.
God is wonderful
Im pleased you had some good times with Him this week
Handy isnt it to have a sweetheart who is not only your lover, best friend, but also your very own personal computer technician. I have one too 🙂
Sometimes it seems all they have to do is be in the same room and it works itself out
bless you this mothers day
I hope you are feeling very refreshed my sweet friend, bless you.
Dear Iris,

Iris,
Oh to pray what your prayer is what I need. The very first item on your list just jumped at me. Awesome. Thank you so much for being my friend.
What a great thankful post…..I am so glad you had some time to refuel….
I too see my blog as a ministry….thanks for hosting Thankful Thursday Iris!
Blessings
Your blog is really a ministry.
Thank you for your wonderful thankful list here, I enjoy your thankful words each thursday since I found your blog.
Ps: This is willie before, but Millie now. For some reason, I accept my friend’s advice, so I got this new name yesterday.
Yes, good health is something we never appreciate… until we get sick! I will pray that the mark on your lip is nothing but a freckle. Or a beauty mark would be better 🙂 God bless you, and Happy Mother’s Day!
I am so glad your busy season is over!! And what a wonderful hubby! Blessings today, Iris!
Praying it’s a harmless freckle!
Your blog is a ministry and an inspiration. I find comfort and encouragement here every single day.
Blessings to you~
Iris, I’m praying that your dermatologist says it’s nothing to worry about. Thank you for hosting TT, it is such an inspiration to me. May God bless you!

Diane
Your blog is a wonderful ministry to all of us who get to read it. Thank you for providing it to us!! I am so glad that your hubby was able to fix your computer for you; I know how it is to have one broken…………..very frustrating! I am glad that you got to rest. I will keep you in my prayers!
Love in Christ,
~Candi (Homekeeper at Heart)
I prayed that you would come back refreshed–I see God answered my prayers.
Good to have you back!
It is truly great to have a day just to share our thanks!

Hi Iris, Wonderful list. I am thankful that you have this meme.
Hello Dear Iris,
I adore that scripture.. It makes my heart leap! I am glad to have you back. God bless you ALWAYS. Hugs…
Glad you are refreshed and resored! A little late today, but how nice it is to see over 40 people thankful today!
The Lord truly has used your writing to bless others Iris. I’m so thankful for you and for the ministry you have here. I love visiting!!
you are a blessing iris. many times i have come for a visit and left filled with faith and hope. GOD BLESS YOU. shalom….
I too, am thankful for this meme and the gals who participate. I don’t get to read many other than the gals who comment on mine, because I’ve got 3 short people ages 3 and under. However, I am always reminded that NO MATTER WHAT I’m going through that day, there are things and people and a good good God to be thankful for.
I definately don’t feel “up” to it today, so I just asked God to help, and He did. And I am truly grateful. 🙂
Thank you for allowing God to minister through you.
You are a true blessing. Thx for sharing. Have an awesome day! ;D
Today I am thankful for food on my forsythia bush.
Who knew? You can eat the blossoms. And I did, for breakfast (I promise I’ll post the picture of my “sunshine breakfast” by tomorrow over on my other blog… Green Inventions Central).
Hope you are well!
SO glad you are back and refreshed Iris. I missed you!
Great list as ever. Hugs.
I’m thankful you’re back!
“Thank you, Lord for making things clear to me–let me dream big and not be afraid of what You might do in my life. I am Yours–sent me wherever You want me to go…I know that You will give me the strength for whatever You have in mind…”
Amen sister!
“Giving Total Control” posted today. I need tips and suggestions on my newest challenge. Remember I would share if I were led. Thanks for your prayers and continued encouragement.
Blessings…
you know… you are so right… and some of us, me……….comes to mind.. smile… frown… sometimes need a big brick right upside the head as a reminder to rest…
sometimes we need our Papa to take us down.. yes, that is what I said.. because my stubborness gets the best of me at times…
or it did…
now I am learning to rest… you … my dear… are smart… are living like Jesus…. “that you would go away from the crowd….”
“What our Master is asleep in the boat while there is a great storm amongst us?”
Yes, because He knew when to rest…
bless you….
Connie
