“‘Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! O Lord, be my helper!’
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” ~ Psalm 30:10-12 (ESV)

The last couple of days have been refreshing to me…It made me realize what a joy it is to blog. No – it is not an addiction, but for me it truly is a ministry. I am thrilled that the Lord is using my little corner of the Bloggy world to encourage, edify and minister to women around the world. If someone tells you different (about blogging I mean), don’t let them discourage you. God will use your Blog in mighty ways, believe me. Yes, we have to keep our priorities straight, e.g. your time with God (refreshment), your family, your job…Just set a schedule. Anyway, here is my thankful list for this week…

  • I am thankful for the time I had with my Lord over the last five days. Thank you, Lord for making things clear to me–let me dream big and not be afraid of what You might do in my life. I am Yours–sent me wherever You want me to go…I know that You will give me the strength for whatever You have in mind…
  • I am thankful that my Sweetheart is not only my lover and best friend, but also my personal computer technician. You see, my laptop crashed last night…it is back up and running tonight (still missing my scrapping stuff, but hey, that can wait)…
  • I am thankful that Mother’s Day is this up-coming Sunday and I still have time to send my Mom some flowers…
  • I am thankful that the Lord saw it fit for Laurel and me to meet before we get to heaven…
  • I am thankful that I have friends across the US and Canada who will pray for me when I am not my cheerful self…
  • I am thankful that year-end-closing is done…Big time relief!
  • I am thankful that I am healthy. I sometimes take it for granted. Although I have to see a dermatologist to find out about a mark on my lip, I am confident that all is well (I promised my dentist to see a dermatologist to make sure it is not melanoma, but just freckle)…
  • I am thankful that we have food on the table — daily…
  • I am thankful for the Thankful Thursday “Bunch” — you all make me smile. If I have not added you to the Blogroll yet, please forgive me. Just let me know that I have missed your Blog…
  • And I am thankful for “Scrappin Digi Kreations”…They have beautiful freebies every month and help me to make some pretty neat LO

So, what are you thankful for this week? Looking forward reading your thankful lists…leave your link below and if your time permits, please visit other participants 😛 .

Be blessed today and as always…

  1. I am too blessed to have met you face to face this side of heaven. And there you go again, giving me more scrapping links (I found a bunch myself tonight, I need to just stop and use what I have =).

Let me know what the Dr says, you never can be to careful in the AZ sun. I too am thankful for my hubby, who has hugged me today as I am trying to get back into the swing of things (I say this knowing I have not been the most pleasant one today, hehe).

I am thankful I don’t have to work tomorrow or Friday so I can get caught up on my sleep =))

    Have a great Thursday.

  2. God is wonderful
Im pleased you had some good times with Him this week

Handy isnt it to have a sweetheart who is not only your lover, best friend, but also your very own personal computer technician. I have one too 🙂
Sometimes it seems all they have to do is be in the same room and it works itself out

    bless you this mothers day

  3. Dear Iris,

Thank you for your wonderful thankful list here, I enjoy your thankful words each thursday since I found your blog.

Ps: This is willie before, but Millie now. For some reason, I accept my friend’s advice, so I got this new name yesterday.

  7. Yes, good health is something we never appreciate… until we get sick! I will pray that the mark on your lip is nothing but a freckle. Or a beauty mark would be better 🙂 God bless you, and Happy Mother’s Day!

  8. Iris, I’m praying that your dermatologist says it’s nothing to worry about. Thank you for hosting TT, it is such an inspiration to me. May God bless you!

  9. Praying for you! So much to be thankful for including…..our Heavenly Father…who knows each freckle on your face!

You inspire! After each visit, I leave with the motivation to look up! Yes, it is a ministry–not an addiction! Your passion shines through!

  14. I too, am thankful for this meme and the gals who participate. I don’t get to read many other than the gals who comment on mine, because I’ve got 3 short people ages 3 and under. However, I am always reminded that NO MATTER WHAT I’m going through that day, there are things and people and a good good God to be thankful for.

I definately don’t feel “up” to it today, so I just asked God to help, and He did. And I am truly grateful. 🙂

Thank you for allowing God to minister through you.

  15. “Thank you, Lord for making things clear to me–let me dream big and not be afraid of what You might do in my life. I am Yours–sent me wherever You want me to go…I know that You will give me the strength for whatever You have in mind…”

    Amen sister!

“Giving Total Control” posted today. I need tips and suggestions on my newest challenge. Remember I would share if I were led. Thanks for your prayers and continued encouragement.

    Blessings…

  16. you know… you are so right… and some of us, me……….comes to mind.. smile… frown… sometimes need a big brick right upside the head as a reminder to rest…

sometimes we need our Papa to take us down.. yes, that is what I said.. because my stubborness gets the best of me at times…

    or it did…

now I am learning to rest… you … my dear… are smart… are living like Jesus…. “that you would go away from the crowd….”

“What our Master is asleep in the boat while there is a great storm amongst us?”

Yes, because He knew when to rest…

    bless you….

    Connie
