Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. ~ John 14:27 (ESV)

Hello my dear Thankful Thursday friends; thank you so much for stopping in and sharing your grateful heart with us.

I have to admit that as of lately I am scared of myself. I am at peace with all that is happening around me; and that my friends I am thankful for. There has been much happening at work and my private life. The peace that I have can only come from Him. Daily I leave my issues at the foot of the cross; that helps me to keep focused on the true important things of life.

One of the main themes for me is “Trust God”. I remind myself that I am not in control of the big issues, so why should I trouble me heart about them? Taking one-day-at-a-time helps too 😉 …

So, what you have been up to lately? I hope to hear from you by leaving your link below and maybe a comment.

Thanks again for stopping by today; remember: God is a God of peace – let His peace saturate your heart.

  1. I have found that sometimes it takes my world turning upside-down and/or me feeling completely helpless to really experience the sweetness of peace in my Savior. Hoping things in your life will settle soon!

  2. Peace is a precious gift Iris – one that Jesus has promised us if we just rest in Him. That is just what you are doing.
I’m grateful, with you, that His peace is filling your heart and life.

  3. Oh Iris, taking one day at a time is something I need to do. And sometimes it’s taking one moment at a time. Not knowing what the future holds has been a challenge for me as I like to plan. But I’m learning dependence on God who is trustworthy.

    Love you friend,
    Debbie

  4. I can think of a few issues in my life I have no control over and need the daily reminder to leave them at the foot of the cross! I think sometimes I leave them and then go back and pick them up later, prayerfully working on that issue!

  5. Such good reminders – I am also amazed when I turn to God for peace and find it is so far beyond what I can get to on my own!

  6. So glad you have this peace, Iris. I am sure it all something everyone would love to have where as we all probably do what It Feels Like Chaos does, pick our problems back up trying to solve them ourselves. It is about knowing when to let go and let God. I love my anti-spam word today which is Redeemed. LOL

  7. I recently read the chapter on peace in a book by Kelly Minter I’m reading. It was a good reminder of the peace God gives and not just a peaceful feeling.

    Have a great Friday!

  8. I love your blog. I can’t believe I’ve just went through all of the links and read the majority of them and even commented, which can be rare for me.

A lot of times I come across blogs, even the Christian ones and they seem sort of “clickish” to me, but I haven’t got that feeling from this blog or from the links that I’ve visited from here. What I have gathered, though, is that there are some women who visit here {as well as yourself} that are serious about growing in their relationship to Christ and I love that. Makes me feel comfortable and right at home visiting. Will look around and be back again.

    Blessings
