“You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
(Psalm 16:11 ESV)
In June I shared with you that I will be going home to see my family. The day of my departure is getting very close. As of tonight, I have 29 days before boarding the plane. I cannot describe the joy I have in my heart. 8 years not seeing my family is a long time…
I also shared in my June post that everything truly is Divine intervention. His intervention continues as my departure date draws close. My passport came 2 weeks before the expected date. I have updated my online booking with my personal data, e.g. passport number, alien number etc.
Last week, we saw my husband’s cardiologist to check on his progress. His doctor was very happy. My husband’s heart is beating well; no danger of another heart failure. This was great news and it gives me peace leaving my husband for 2 weeks.
Looking back at the beginning of 2012, things looked very bleak in my life…But God is faithful and will work out everything for the good (see Romans 8:28).
What are you thankful for this week? Please share with us by leaving a link to your Thankful Thursday post below. I will also be hosting Thankful Thursday in the month of September, since I will be out of town in October 😉 . In October, my friend Laurie at “Women Taking A Stand” will be your hostess.
Thank you for stopping by today. Remember: God will work everything out for the good, no matter how bleak it may currently look in your life.
Love & peace,
Iris

I love it when I can look back and see God’s hand at work in my life! I hope in the month to come you can continue to look forward to a wonderful visit with your family and that you’ll see increasing evidence of God’s hand at work in YOUR life!!

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your family! 🙂
You have a lot to be thankful for. SO glad your hubby is doing so well that you can go back home again & everything is falling into place for you. Love it when that happens. Will keep you in my prayers for traveling mercies to and fro. God Bless.
Praise God that we can trust His promises, including Romans 8:28! Thanks for the great post & for hosting the linkup, & God bless!
I love how God makes things work like this! I’m so happy that your husband is doing well and that you get to see your mom and home soon!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” ~Romans 8:28
We KNOW this to be true! Still I’m so glad to hear that your hubby’s test came out so clear and positive. That’s such a relief.
What a blessing to see family! I can\’t imagine going 8 years without seeing them. God bless you and keep you safe as you go!
I, too, am about to leave to visit family. But, for a very different reason. My dad is dying of cancer, and these will likely be his last weeks with us. In light of that, I thought it was time to make an effort to participate in TT again, to keep my eyes on Jesus.
I was so glad to see that you\’re still doing it.
My post is HERE.
Praise God for blessing you with sweet peace, love you my friend.
I am so excited for you Iris! This trip was meant to be. I’m sure your family is so excited to get to see you again.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
