What Sting My Heart is thankful for this week

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13 (ESV)

  • I am thankful for God’s unconditional love. Even in the moments when I am un-lovable — He still loves me. He loved me so much that He took my sins upon Himself to die for them on the cross. That, my friend, I call unconditional love!
  • I am thankful for my Sweetheart’s love. His emotional and physical love for me. I know that some days I am a little wacky, but he still loves me — just the way I am.
  • I am thankful for the love shown by perfect strangers. I mean you and you, who always stop and leave a comment here on Sting My Heart. I am sorry that I am so behind on my Blog-visits . I wish I had more time to return my love for you.
  • I am thankful for my mother’s love. She calls me every Saturday morning to see how her ‘little’ girl is doing.
  • I am thankful for our son’s love. Although he has a hard time showing it most of the time, I know he loves me.

You know ~ love is wonderful thing. I have lead a Bible study couple of years ago on 1 Corinthians 13, the ‘love-chapter’. It was wonderful.

What are you thankful for this week. I would love to hear from you. I hope that you will have the opportunity today to share Christ’s love today, even with the ‘un-lovable’. Be blessed today by His love for your…

  2. Beautiful things you have to be thankful for. I enjoy reading these Thankful Thursday posts..they bring everything into such good perspective. I also have a son who I know loves me, however, isn’t always the best at showing it..he’s 17!! My favorite is when he comes and sits beside me on the sofa, and then just falls over, landing with a huge kerplunk across my lap and then in his manly man voice, says “scratch my back”…when he was little, he sweetly asked me for “cuddles” but now he’s a young man, it’s way cooler and macho to ask for a back scratching. Aahh the things we mom’s have to be thankful for!!

  3. Iris, thank you for the words of wisdom, as I read your thoughts for Thoughtful Thursday, I was struck about how God works through others! On my way to work today, I prayed for guidance and a humble heart towards my coworker. As I walked in, I greeted her witha “Good Morning”. The rest of the day was very pleasant! Now I read your thoughts for today, and I know that the good Lord was working silently in the back ground for the good of ALL of us! I never ceases to amaze me. Bless you

  4. Thanks for dropping by, Iris! I am thankful for friends like you whose presence, even through just blog visits, strengthen me and encourage me.

  5. Great things to be thankful for! I am thankful for our Lord Jesus for being crucified so that we may live. And I am thankful for my beautiful big family. And I am most thankful for the time I got to spend with my husband and for his love. 🙂 And I am thankful for all the friend I have found through my blog.

    Thank you for stopping by.

  6. I am thankful for your list! It is always wonderful to read such passion from another Christian. You always remind me to stop and thank God for all the things in my life and that is something to be thankful for!

  7. I hope I remember to call my “little girl” once a week when she moves out. What a special gesture of love. We Moms need to be reminded of how important our personal attention is to our loved ones, thanks.
