What Sting My Heart is thankful for this week

“But I, by your great mercy, will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple.
Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies—make straight your way before me. ~ Psalm 5:7-8

  • I am thankful for God’s infinite mercy. No matter how often I mess up — He still loves me…
  • I am thankful for our son, Daniel. Although he is a pain in the rear, sometimes, he is a great kid (okay – young adult). He is taking time this up-coming weekend to visit a dying friend in California. His friend was diagnosed with cancer back in High School and now is in the last stages. This might be his last birthday…He is only 22. Our son likes to display a ‘tough’ image of himself, but his heart is like butter – especially when it comes to his friends. I think he will be a great dad one day…
  • I am thankful for the on-line community. Thank you ladies for your prayers for our son for safe travel and for Daniel’s friend in California…Days like yesterday are days when I ask God “Why?”…
  • I am thankful for my Sweetheart — I love it when he cooks us dinner. Tuesday night he made his famous chicken Quesadilla and last night hamburgers…
  • I am thankful that Darlene is allowing me to host “In Other Words” once a month. And I am thankful that Laurel will be hosting the second one of the month…I am excited about this opportunity. The rest will be still hosted by CWO
  • I am thankful for Ann’s really cool Advent Devotional. It gave me an idea. But to reveal that idea you have to come back on the 21st. All I say it has to with witnessing…
  • I am thankful for the cooler weather. It is in the upper 50’s in the morning and warms up to the higher 70’s/lower 80’s. Yup, wearing my jacket in the morning 😛

What are you thankful for today? Would you care to share with me and my readers? I really would love to hear from you today .

Blessings on your day and always…

  1. I like that part of the Psalm that says, “Lead me… in your righteousness because of my enemies.” I’m thankful that God can take what threatens to drown us and use it rescue us into an ever more “right life.”

  2. Beautiful words about your son…I’ve never had to go through something like this with a friend of mine. Great tragedy at such a young age, it’s circumstances like these that effect a person for the rest of their lives. I’m thankful to know we have an amazing, indescribable God who can take something like this, and use it for our good, His glory, and the advance of the Gospel.

  6. I’m thankful for a need breed of Christians, who seem to be rejecting “religion” and instead attempting to act “like Christ” by following his teachings. This seems to be sweeping the country, and it’s about time!

I also thank God for bloggers. I find encouragement reading the thoughts of others. Your blog is one to which I subscribe in my google reader.

  7. That is indeed a dream for all parents — that they’re son grow up to become a great father to his kids. my husband has been such a wonderful father to both my kids, and I am praying that by his example, Nicky would mirror this good qualities and become an ever better one when the time comes 🙂

I was unable to post my Thankful list this week due to my busy sched (shame! tsk, tsk), but I will make up for it next week.
