“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” ~ John 14:27 (ESV)
This week has been mighty stressful for me at work. We are in the middle of closing the fiscal year (yeah, we close in April). I have worked very long hours, no breaks–for some reason I am still smiling from ear-to-ear…So, here is my short thankful list this week…
- I am thankful that the Lord keeps me sane. His Word is like honey to my soul. He ‘pops up’ in unexpected situations or circumstances, like a song on the radio…
- I am thankful that I came home to a loving husband who makes me smile, giggle and laugh…
- I am thankful that Laurel arrived safely in Phoenix and we will meet for lunch on Friday (yeah–I am all giddy about it)…
- I am thankful for coffee–it keeps me awake. Especially if can’t keep my eyes open…
- I am thankful for quick food solutions–we have chicken wings, tater tots and onion rings tonight. Just popped all three in the oven. Now I just have to wait until the timer goes off 😛 …
- I am thankful for the women who participated in this week’s IOW–thank you that you were patient with me to get around to your post. Sorry it took me until tonight…
- I am thankful that Christine’s baby arrived this week and that Zachery is healthy. Please visit her blog this week to congratulate her and her family…
- I am thankful for the Thankful Thursday ‘Bunch’…You always make me smile with your posts about your personal gratitude….
- I am thankful for digi-freebies…This week I would like to highlight Gotta Pixel…I have found some really neat stuff over there…
What are you thankful for this week? I hope you care to share…Please continue to be patient with me. I only have a couple of hours each day to spend online. I am always looking forward reading your thankful posts. Oh, I am so glad that this up-coming weekend is in sight and the year-end-closing will be done – PTL!!!!
Blessings to your Thursday and as always…

Amen on the quick food solutions!
I thank God for my husband too. Sometimes I wonder if I would be the person that I am today without him in my life. I think that answer would probably be, no!
I hope you have a great visit with Laurel.
Hi Iris! So sorry you’ve had a bad week but so thankful that you still focus on Him and His unexpected “pop-ups.” I know how much you are looking forward to visiting with Laurel and I would love to join you two. I have an unusual post today.

I have to agree with your first one. God does like to just “drop in” on my thoughts alot, and that is a good thing!
