“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb ‘” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.” Revelation 19:7-9 (NASB)
I know, I know, I just had “Praise” in my thankful post in February, but just thinking about His great love for us…there is nothing else that I can do, right? So, here is my ‘praise thankfulness’ for this week…
- I am thankful that God still loves me. Even though I fall short every single day, Christ has covert my sin with His blood. And believe me, I am more than ready to sit down at the long supper table that the Lamb has prepared for us…
- I am thankful for Lisa’s beautiful Blog Bible study–which she wrote. If you have not read her first lesson on “I AM – so you don’t have to be“, I encourage you to read it. What a blessings. I am praising Him that He has crossed Lisa’s path with mine 😛 …
- I am thankful that I have decided against the new laptop. We got a new mattress for our bedroom instead. Oh, how heavenly the new mattress is. We sleep so much deeper now. No more achy bones when we get up in the morning. I told my Sweetheart that it is more comfy to sleep on a new mattress than on a laptop…
- I am thankful that I am busy at work. I don’t like to be slow. So I keep asking for more work. Not sure it that is wise, but I rather be busy than twiddling my thumbs…
- I am thankful that my Sweetheart finally convinced me to get my hair cut. I will have to up-date my profile picture soon…
- I am thankful that we still have very cool weather in the Valley of the Sun. Soon it will be 110+. So for right now I am enjoying the cool 70’s and 80’s. I hope that it will be still cool when I finally meet with Laurel for lunch in May…
- Last but not least, I am thankful that my Sweetheart is grilling the burgers tonight, so I can finish my thankful post…Oh, do I love this man…
What are you thankful for this week? Did you write your own post? If so, please add your link below. As you time permits, please visit other participants and leave comments. It is such a wonderful thing to see all the thankful hearts around the blogsphere…You all blow me away. We hit almost the 50 mark last week. So, can we hit 50 this week? That would be so cool…
Blessings on your Thursday and as always…

This is too funny:
1. I had burgers tonight also.
2. I told Lisa just a few mins ago what a blessing she is to me (if any of you have not met her you are missing out on a blessing)
And I agree sleeping on a laptop can be painful. So happy for your new mattress =) NO hot weather until after I leave OK? I lived through the hot too many years. That is the one thing I DON’T miss. Everything else I miss =)
Blessings….
What a great list! I am so glad you are having such nice weather, and I bet those cheeseburgers were delicious! Have a great Thursday!
Great thankfuls! Yes, a mattress sounds like a great new investment. Our springs have been coiling out of ours – it may be time for a new one here too.
Laurel, atleast it will be a dry heat, as opposed to the humidity where you’re at I’m sure;)
My hubby cooked for us tonight as well; we had chicken. Yum! Glad you’re having lovely weather and a good nights rest on your new mattress. Have a wonderful week!
Isn’t it nice to look back on a decision and know you made the right one? I guess if you decided to “sleep on it” while you were deciding between the laptop or mattress, you took it literally, LOL.
This was a great list!
I loved your thankfuls, my hubby cooked steak for us tonight. Bless you sweetie.
I love your list and post. Bless you for doing this I love staying focused on the good, helps so much. We love cheeseburgers too. Btw we are looking to get a new mattress also…LOL
Much blessings to you,
Ange
Oops, I should have thanked my husband for cooking this week as well. I will save that for another time. I want a new mattress too, but hubby thinks our is just fine since its only 12 years old and we got 15 out of the last one.
How cool that you got a new mattress……..I know I would pick a mattress over a laptop anyday….I love my king sized bed….in fact that is where I am heading in a few minutes…..but first….a few minutes in the hot tub…..
Thanks for this great idea of Thankful Thursday’s Iris….it’s been such a blessing to me!
was a good study wasnt it I look forward to part 2
Have a good week
Am looking forward to seeing your new look.
Happy Thursday!
Great things to be thankful for…especially the new mattress. That much better for your back than the laptop would be. :o) I think it’s wonderful that you’re going to meet Laurel and I hope for both of you that it will be cooler then. I’m anxious to see the “new” look.
Thank you, Iris, for being such an encouragement to me. Blessings!
I AGREE! It feels much better to sleep on top of a cmfy new mattress over a laptop! haha! Hope you’re having a great week, Iris! Sorry if I missed last week’s TTh… Was on a break…. 🙂
I loved Lisa’s study too! I can’t wait to read more of it. We so need a new mattress, so that is great you got a new one 🙂 I’m glad the weather out there is still nice. It was about this time 2 years ago we were there and it snowed all day in Flagstaff! It was awesome:) I can’t wait to visit Arizona again. My hubby is on a kick about moving out that way (he wants to live in Southern Utah near Zion) – so we are praying about it…
I’ll be in the Valley in May and am also hoping that it will still be cool!
We’re heading for a warm weekend according to the weather forecast. Should be nice.
What a great list! A new mattress is absolutely more comfortable to sleep on than a laptop! It really does make a difference in how you feel the next day!
I’m loving our cooler weather too because that heat will come fast and furious and linger, no doubt!
You and Laurel will have so much fun!
Yes, take a photo of your new haircut–cant’ wait to see it!
Blessings~
You’re such a good example in expressing your love and appreciation for your husband verbally! The world (including me) needs to hear a LOT more of that!
I like to be busy, too, but have to admit I don’t have the energy I used to.
Looking forward to seeing your new profile photo. I changed mine recently (after a hair cut, too.)
Yes, a good thought that He Is, so I don’t have to be. I’m thankful for this comfort.
Alright! A new mattress! What a great feeling.
Looking forward to the new profile pic.
Have a great Thursday!
Great list Iris. I like to be busy too otherwise I feel all lethargic and have to keep going for little snoozes (good job I’m a SAHM I’d be fired if I kept snoozing on the job). LOL. Blessings.
Hi Iris,
I love reading your thankful thursday posts. I know all about what a bad mattress can do to you, glad to hear that you guys are now getting a great nights sleep. I hope you have a joyful day.
Iris,
A great night’s sleep is worth it’s weight in gold!!
The new mattress sounds great! We purchased a new bed last year and it was one of the best things we have ever done. A good night’s sleep makes all the difference!
We a blessed list you have and so many things to be thankful for. I understand about the mattress… after being gone for the holiday, I sure missed mine! God Bless You!
Ooooooh, 110??? I couldn’t take it! My hair would definitely be short! 😉
Your hubby sounds like a wonderful guy! A cookout sounds like a great idea, hope it was yummy!
Yummy, burgers. Got one for me?! Have an awesome day!
May I just say, it is SO worth having a blog to be able to participate in moments like these!! This has made me SO much more mindful of my thankfulness…
thanks for visitng my blog and thanks for the well wishes
bless you
This is such a great concept. Love it.
It’s amazing… but nothing beats a tough week… the grumpies… or being worn out… like listing out some of the things that you’re thankful for.
This is great.
I’m going to be checking in… and maybe even participating.
Thanks for the great work!
Mitch
I have a Honey who almost never says “no” when I ask him to grill something for me. I love that!
Today is one of those days I am reeeeally looking forward to sitting at that marriage supper too — especially since I won’t have to cut anyone’s food but my own! 🙂 I told you it was one of those days. 🙂
What a nice list. And I can’t wait to see the new do.
Your list was great! I posted mine. 🙂
Isn’t God so good to give us great men? Loving my man today also.
Also loving the weather-76–soon to be in the 100’s with 86% humidity. yuck!
Hi Iris, I just posted at my other blog, Every Day is a Blessing. 🙂
Hello Iris 🙂 We just can’t thank God enough for His love. Thank you for sharing!
I am also so thankful for Lisa offering a Bible Study. So very many reasons to be thankful. I enjoyed reading yours. Tomorrow 4/13, I’ll be posting on a friend whose husband doesn’t want her to go to church or worship Christ.
Many blessings!
I finally posted mine with not much of Thursday left. 🙂 2 weeks in a row, though! I really needed to do this exercise today – it really puts things into perspective.
Jodi
That’s neat that you got a new mattress. What a good hubby you have. I love to read post where I hear about the goodness of marriages and the love shared in simple acts of kindness.
Such a great and thoughtful list of thankfuls, as always Iris!!
I am right ther ewith you being thankful for the cool weather because I know soon it is going to be soooo HOT for what seems like soooooo long…lol
Is it to late to share that you bless me? :):)
I know it’s Friday and I should’ve written Thursday, but I did read your post yesterday! I can’t wait to see a picture of you with your new haircut and I always appreciate your openness with us and your love for your hubby. It is so evident that you guys are an, “Elizabeth and Zechariah”, a righteous couple who is so loved by God! Bless you always..
Such a blessing to read! 🙂 Your blog is always so uplifting!
I just posted today on an incredible man who came to our church on Easter…he is more than qualified to show us how to be thankful no matter what our circumstances…come take a look if you can, because he was such a blessing to us!
I hope you know what a blessing YOU are by doing this every week:-) I love reading all the lists!
A friend reminded me so clearly of where my thoughts should always be no matter the circumstances. We are to Thank Him in all things! – that requires constant action from us each day! God Bless –
