“I will thank you forever, because you have done it. I will wait for your name, for it is good, in the presence of the godly.”
~ Psalm 52:9 (ESV ~ emphasis mine)

Today, I just want to share some random thanks with you all…

  • Lord, thank You for Your grace and mercy, ever.single.day…
  • Lord, thank You for the days when I have some time to talk with my beloved after work. It is a wonderful thing to do in our daily, busy lives..
  • Lord, thank You for the women You have assembled at Laced with Grace. Lord, thank You for the women that may be writing in the future at the devotional blog. And thank You from the bottom of my heart for the readers You are sending. Lord, may we glorify You in everything we write and honor You with our lives…
  • Lord, thank You for the wonderful new website my friend Darlene started – “Writing Fundamentals“. I pray that not only I will find helpful information about writing, but that You guide others to her site…
  • Lord, thank You for Your patience with me. I am grateful for Your direction in the bookstore the other day. You know that I was looking for a different book. I know that You made sure that it was not available. I thank You for your direction to Rhonda Rhea’s book “High Heels in High Places—Walking Worthy in Way Cute Shoes“. You knew what my heart needed to draw me closer to You (actually wake me up!!!!)…
  • Lord, thank You for getting me through this summer. You know how hard it is for me. I am looking so forward to Fall, but then again You know that…
  • Last, but not least I want to thank you for the women that are assembling every week to praise Your name and give You thanks in all circumstances…

What are you thankful for this week? Please link up your post below…

As I read through some of the blogs from last TT, many of you had mentioned that starting to be thankful is tough, because of the circumstances in your life. I had to smile that some of you also mentioned, once you sit down and start writing, it is hard to stop…Amen to that sister!!!! There is always something in our lives we can praise His name…even if it is just getting out of bed every morning. Remember…He is always praiseworthy 😛 …

  1. Iris,

May the Lord bless you! What a blessing it is when we bring the sacrifice of praise to the Lord no matter our circumstances. Loved the title of your book … hope it blesses your socks off! tee hee

  2. Hi Iris! I do experience that too, sometimes don’t know what to be thankful for but when I start typing I’m surprised to see that I’ve written much 🙂 There are always things to be thankful for and it is indeed a blessing to see many thankful hearts here every week.

  3. Iris friend —sorry I didn’t make it by last Thursday….whew! Can I get an amen! WHEW! I have so much to be thankful for! I love and appreciate you dear girl!

  4. Iris, thank you for hosting us this week with your grateful heart. Iknow that sometimes when troubles hit us it may seem like it is difficult to praise God but all I have to do is look around and see people less fortunate than me, or deeper in debt than me, or sicker in body than me and I HAVE to praise Him! And if that isn’t enough for me, all I have to do is look around at His wonderful creation and how simply amazing it is that our God created everything we enjoy each day in less than a week…I can’t even make my bed for a whole week straight less the world! How amazing is that! Praising Him is why I love your meme each week…so I can share with everyone my grateful heart. -Blessings, Laurie

  5. Iris, I like that very last paragraph you wrote. There truly is always, no matter how our weeks are going, something to be thankful and grateful for. AMEN to the sentiments you left. I’ve participated in TT this week. Hope we get to share in each others’ thankfulness!

  6. Iris,

Wonderful post as always…. There is always something in our lives we can praise His name…even if it is just getting out of bed every morning. Remember…He is always praiseworthy!!!! Amen, girl, Amen…. Love you so much.

  7. Iris, enjoy the coming fall in your area. Our days here in Nebraska have been gorgeous, after a hot July and August. I just want to breathe it in. The book about the high heels looks great. I’ll have to check into it. Bless your busy days girl. Rest in His peace. Blessings, Mary

  8. This is my first time participating. Great idea for a meme! 🙂 Being thankful is a state of mind I had to make an effort to learn, but I’m so glad I did.

  9. Hi Iris, I echo the rest too. Thank you for hosting Thankful Thursday! And I too agree on the part where having some time to talk with our loved ones every day after work eventhough we have such busy lives.

    Remain blessed!

  10. Being thankful is a choice. Whatever our circumstances, there is always something for which to be thankful. Being thankful focuses on eyes on our Creator who can sustain us through anything. Iris, thank you for the reminder through your thankful Thursdays.

  11. Again, a wonderful list of thankfuls from you, Iris!! I know that sometimes I think that maybe I don’t have a lot to be thankful for, too. But, in my heart, I know that I have the best to be thankful for, and that is belonging to Christ

  12. Thank you for sharing your thankful heart with us, Iris. Truly we have many things to thank God daily and it is so good to list them down on Thursday and share with each other so that we can thank and praise God together. Thanks again for hosting Thankful Thursday. It has been a great blessing to us and may all praise and glory be to God. Take care!

  13. Glad you found a great book. What a fun title! I haven’t been by Darlene’s site yet, I’ll have to do that soon. Hope it starts to cool down for you guys soon. Don’t know how you do it – I never had a desire to live in Phoenix for that very reason. 🙂 Can’t take the heat! And I agree that it’s always so a great excercise to start our thankful lists because the thanksgiving just begins to bubble up!

  14. I liked the verse you had today. I was excited to see Marsha added at Laced with Grace. I’ve enjoyed her blog so much the past few months.

  15. Thanks for your site. I have a lot to be thankful for…so much so that it will probably take many posts to get them all in…and some are just for my sweet, Lord. But today, as bad and as hurtful as it might sound, I am thankful for 9-11-01!! A sad day of death for many, was a day which marked a new life for me. It is often a mixed bag of feelings for me this day, but nonetheless I am thankful for it!!

    God bless you.

  16. Hey Iris,

As always you are such a great hostess each week. You always pick out a great verse and share your grateful heart with us.

Thanks for being such a blessing to us all!

Hope you had a great day.

  17. Oh my, am I ever late today! Iris, I love your random list. Thank you for asking me to become a part of the writing team for LWG. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do with this ministry to further His kingdom. I’m truly blessed.

  18. It’s such a blessing to read your “thankfuls” every week. This week is very nice with the random list. Thank you for Thankful Thursdays Iris!

  19. I have met some wonderful new friends through this blog. I love the idea to make a thankful list. It seems to be so easy to complain and be negative, but much more difficult to look at the positive and be thankful! Excellent exercise for all of us.
    Thanks Iris!

  20. Iris, I love your spirit….you always bless me so much when I stop in here.
Sorry it’s been such a long time but life has gotten a little crazy at my house…I know you understand!
Hopefully will get back into the swing of things for next week…I can’t believe how many people are participating….wow over 100 people!
    Blessings
