My mom gave it to me after my grandma passed away about 10 years ago…I remember my great-grandma very well. She was a strict woman, but she loved her family. When I see fresh peas in the grocery store, it reminds me of my great-grandma. She had a fantastic garden with fruit, veggies (love fresh peas) and flowers. It was awesome to spend time at her house. If she needed help picking the peas, she never asked me. I ate them all before she could fix them with dinner . I usually had a tummy ache when we left her house, because of all the fresh cherries, apples and peas (not a great mixture – believe me)…Oh do I miss it! I wish we had the soil and the weather to grow peas here in Arizona…

I had a great-grandma like that! We called her “Grandma in the red shutters” when we were little because she lived in a tiny white house with red shutters. She, too, had a fantastic garden that yielded an amazing array of fruits and veggies and flowers. I think of her so often this time of year when the weather starts to warm up and I start thinking about my own garden.
Thanks for evoking a beautiful memory this morning!
Oh, that is so neat. I think it would be a fabulous pendant/memory to have. My tt are up.
I am not playing but had to comment on the pendent. It is beautiful. And the memories you have of your grandma are wonderful. I enjoyed reading the share.
Beautiful post. Check out my Tuesday Treasure!!
It’s a lovely pendent. You’re very blessed to have that memento from your grandmother.
My Tuesday Treasure is up, too.
Wow! that’s really an heirloom. Though not your style but it is good to have and cherish. I have memories too but no pictures to take because all my treasured memories are all kept in my heart.
Oh I love this post! The theme of treasure has been hugely important in my own spiritual walk. I like how you started with the pendant and then talked about the treasure of your grandma – and the treasure she gave you in lots of different ways. Thankyou.
Sorry, I’m so late. I’ve been in the garden yesterday and today. I love the pednant. It is beautiful!! I’m glad you have it – it is nice to have something tangible as a memory.
