Charm Bracelet

So, it took me a little while this morning to get the right shot of this little charm-bracelet (one of the little things in my treasure chest).

When we were kids (my sis and I), we traveled a lot with our parents. We pretty much traveled throughout Europe. I wish I would have appreciated it more back than. Those travels with our parents are priceless today. This little bracelet reminds me of those travels (I have another one – but really had a hard time to get a clear shot – I took about thirty to get this one *sigh*). Ever time we stopped somewhere really neat, our dad bought another of the little piece to add to the bracelet. This one you see is 35 years old and a little tarnished (should clean it)….I am glad that I can share those little treasures. Thank you Faith for coming up with Tuesday Treasures.Tuesday Treasure Participants: Faith, Kim, Sheri, Heather, Kate, Diane, Nancy, Debi D.,

The greatest treasure of today you find here at Susan’s blog – Thank you Carol for sharing this very special treasure – Hallelujah to the Lamb – All Glory and Honor and Praise!!!!

  1. How wise that your parents got you a little charm to help you remember the trips, even if you didn’t fully appreciate them at the time!

    You’re a lucky girl! How many kids get to travel Europe? I hope you’ll write about some of your memories from those trips someday!

  2. that’s awesome!

    our family has set up a tradition of taking two weeks in the fall (when most kids are in school, roads are less crowded) and drive the camper to a destination somewhere we haven’t been or want to see. first trip we went out west and made it to california (a long way from georgia! lol). the next year we went to the northwest, to washington state and actually saw the west coast this time – the oregon coast was beautiful! now, we’re planning a trip to canada this fall and can’t wait!

    as we’ve traveled, i’ve tried to collect state charms for the states we travel through. unfortunately, i wasn’t been able to get all of them – so i started just getting them from the most memorable places we visit, san antonio, grand canyon, etc.

    just seeing that bracelet and hearing the story reminded me of mine! 🙂

  3. What a great treasure! I used to have a charm bracelet, but I have no idea what happened to it. I always wanted a bracelet that jangled!

    My Tuesday treasure it up, too.

  4. I love your bracelet….brings back many memories of my own charm bracelet. How neat to have a memory of all the places you’ve traveled.

  5. That’s so sweet. I’ve always wanted a charm bracelet…even hinted to my kids…to no avail:-) Maybe I’ll start my own, and add a special trinket to commemorate each of life’s special journeys. Then maybe my grown children will take the hint…you think? {wink}

    hugs,
    Vicki
