That’s a big ouch! Never saw such big thorns like that before.
I’m up too.
I love that cacti! I think I’ve got a smaller one in one of my pots!
Oooh… prickly indeed. But lovely nonetheless.
It might be prickly, but that picture is delicate and lovely.
painful but beautiful
A cactus by any other name would still be prickly! That is one “mean” looking cacti!
What an amazing close-up. Strange, but I love cacti. I can hardly wait for better weather and the chance to take some new photos up here. No time for a trip to sunny AZ this year. You are blessed! :~)
I would say so! Becareful where you sit your backside! LOL My WW is up!
Ouch! I live in AZ, but don’t like cactus! They are just too painful, and dangerous to have around children! It is a great shot, though!

Wow, It’s amazing how different each area of the US can be. My picture is of the ice storm that made the trees glisten like cut crystal.
Very prickly indeed! Great shot. 🙂
I am truly amazed at the different variety a cacti has. Used to collect them but had to get rid of them because our dog gets pricked all the time.
Have a good day!

I use to collect cactus when I was a child
I am originally from New Mexico. One of my favorite times of the year is in the spring when the cactus is blooming. Cactus of all types and all sizes…just beautiful. Reminds me of where I was born.
BTW…thanks for coming by…
Cool shot. What a very spikey picture. Hope your Wednesday was great.
