Okay, so I have a weakness (not only one, but food-wise I mean)…I am a gummi-bear junkie. Really! If I open the bag and I am not careful, I eat the entire bag in one sitting. I am just so glad that they import Haribo gummi-bears in to the US. The only kind I eat. I think I have my mom ship me some for my birthday – like a 5kg tub :grin:…

Oh, a sweet tooth! I don’t have one so my weakness are salty things, lol! Can you believe I haven’t had a Gummibärchen in years? Hope you get a huge bag for your bday!! happy saturday! I am up now 🙂
I’m a salt-lover like mar. Give me cashews or peanuts anyday (or cheese). But I do like Gummi bears. The only problem is they stick in these old teeth of mine! LOL.

While I’m not big on candies, I can eat a bag of gummie bears. I was buying them for the office and putting them in a little container for everyone to help themselves, but then I found that I would take a few, then take a few, and a few, and soon I was the one polishing off a bag of gummie bears a day. So I stopped that. I bought some no-sugar little candies to put in there and I hardly ever touch them (nor does anyone else), so I’ve gotta be really hard up now to have a candy.
I find your favorite treat very interesting & unique. I hope your momma does send you some for your birthday. *s*

I have a good friend who spent four years in Germany (military family). She got me hooked on that very brand of Gummi Bears. But at the time, they were hard to find here in the states. (I see them much more often now). After we graduated I went on a trip to Belgium and Holland and found them everywhere. I stocked up on them for her! She was quite delighted! 😀
I just wanted to say the same as Bethany, every kid in Germany knows Haribo and there is even a song : Harribo macht Kinder froh,which means Haribo makes kids happy !

Gummi Bears!
I cannot decide if I like fresh soft gummies more than ones that are a little firm on the outside and soft in the middle.
When my Son Joined the Army he was in exercises. A commander found a gummy bear stuck in someones kit, upon inspection.
The only way the troop was gonna get out of this fo Pas is to name him private bear.
He had to be dressed in uniform and ready for inspection in 15 min or the troop was in the brig.
So my son cut a tiny piece from the inside tuck of his combat pants and formatted a uniform for the bear.
The bear had to be toted for 10 days on an exercise in the bush. He had a zip lock bag with an air hole in it to keep th rain out.
They were inspected 3 times a day and the bear had to be in tact.
They made it through the training without demerits cuz they kept the bear in tact for the whole exercise. In his little cab pad smock.
Crazy but true.
I love gummi bears. They are better when they are just a little bit stale, I think. I like the clearish white ones best. I don’t know what flavour that is, though.
