In His grip
One of my favorite books over the last couple of years, is Bill Myers’ book The Face of God. Here is just the summary of it, but believe me, this is one of the most compelling books I have ever read:
Resigning his pastorate, widower Daniel Lawson seeks to regain his Christian fervor. Stumbling upon one of the mysterious stones used by ancient Judaism’s high priest, he’s drawn into a dangerous adventure. Together with an atheistic archaeologist, a devout Muslim girl, and his estranged son, Daniel embarks upon a worldwide quest to find the other stones.
The best part of this book: Bill Myers makes it clear that there is only one way to heaven – through Jesus – “The Way, the Truth & the Life”…I think that this book ranks as my all time favorite fiction books.
It is so hard to find great fiction books (I do like Christian ones the best – wonder why that is – lol). Let me know if you have come across a good fiction book lately…
I have found another passion of mine – I think it ranks in the #4 or #5 spot. I really love to work with HTML codes. This new template is from Italy; the designer’s name is Cristina and the website is called Pannasmontata Templates. Check out the work – it is worth it. I had to do a little tweaking, but nothing major (it helps if you have a good HTML editor). Please do let me know if you are having problems leaving comments or the site is not loading correctly.
Maybe this new design will win some battles on BE’s “Battle of the Blogs“. I do wonder if people are voting for the design or for the content…Hm, brings me back to the post by Jeff a couple of weeks ago. I definitely vote for content and not the design (although it does help if the blog looks clean and organized). So, battle participants, do you vote for content or design?
Usually I feature my personal reads Fridays on My Lighter Side, but I just couldn’t wait until tomorrow. Check out this blogger, “The Broken Messenger” – found his link this past Saturday on BE. I think that he missed his calling and should have been a pastor.
