How Far – Really?

Last night my Sweetheart & I watched the movie “The Island“. Yes, it is action packed & a pretty cool story. I thought about it again today (the story line) and it made me think: “How far would very rich people truly go to have a clone produced for replacement parts?”
Although this movie was fiction, is it really that far fetched? Would people dish out money to prolong their life? Don’t some people already do that anyway? Have ‘youth injections’, plastic surgeries and so on.
So, maybe some people would pay for a clone in order to have replacement parts? Scary thought – isn’t it.

Have You Ever Noticed?

Arguing CoupleYou know what is sad…that couples argue in public. I think there is nothing worse than have a (married) couple fight in front of strangers/friends. I am not saying in the 22 years of marriage, my sweetheart & I had no disagreements; but I have to say, we don’t fight in stores or on the street. We don’t even argue in the car, but then again, I am blessed with a great man who is very even tempered – even when I get us lost and can’t read the map (lol).
But really, do couples really have to hang out their dirty laundry in public. I know that this world is full of sin, but if you can’t even show love to your spouses, what can we expect anyway. So, next time you have a disagreement, wait until you get home and vent there.

Another Trip Planned

Colossal Cave

This year for my Forty-some birthday I requested a trip instead of a material gift from my Sweetheart. I got my wish granted (my hubby is just so awesome) and we are going south to Tucson and are planning to visit Colossal Cave. It really looks awesome on the web-site and I am hoping that we will have a great time (weather should be just perfect). Hopefully we can take pictures inside and add to our great photo collection from this year’s travel. We need a couple more pictures to hang in our living room.

Love & Respect

BookThe Love & Respect book by Dr. Eggerichs is very helpful to understand the different needs of men & women in a marital relationship. Yes, it is written by a Christian man, but it could be also very helpful to non-believers. Give it a try. It will turn your good marriage into a great marriage, because you will understand more things about your partner than a life-time being married. Gentlemen, you always say that you don’t understand your wife, her mood swings ect.
Ladies, this book will give you a glimpse of things you never thought about; the things that just drive our men up the wall. I told my sweetheart about the book. I told him that if I behaved in a way some women do, hey, I would divorce myself. In the age of a high divorce rates, I believe from the bottom of my heart, that we should put every effort into understanding our spouses a little better, and make our marriages stronger.
Oh, one thing gentlemen, tell you wife once in awhile that we are beautiful to you – we love to hear it, especially coming from the mouth of our sweethearts. It will be worth it – believe me…
