New Beginngs?

β€œFor I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11-13 (ESV)

Do you made/make resolutions for the new year? I don’t this year. You know why? Because I break them within the first week of the new year. I know it sounds bad, but it is the truth…

This will be my last contribution to the Internet Cafe. I want to thank Darlene and Lisa for allowing me to be part of the blogging team. And I certainly have to thank God for His inspirations through His word…

Blessings on your Sunday and hope to see you all in the new year…

Thankful Thursday ~ Relationships

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” ~ Psalm 28:7 (ESV)

This week I have been thinking a lot about relationships…off-line and online. So I thought I will share a list of the wonderful relationships the Lord has blessed me with…

  • Thank You Lord for giving me the opportunity to commune with You every.single.day. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for my sins in order that I have a close relationship with You…
  • Thank You Lord for restoring my relationship to my husband over 2 years ago. He is my best friend, lover, confidant…
  • Thank You Lord for a wonderful relationship with our son. Although he no longer lives at home, he calls, visits and is very much relaxed about it all…
  • Thank You Lord for bringing women into my life that are there to pray, support and lift me up when ever I need it…
  • Thank You Lord for a great resources like Christian Women Online. Women can meet and find other women that think alike…
  • Thank You Lord for wonderful co-workers that stand up for each other and help each other out…
  • Thank You Lord for bringing women together every Thursday to share their thanks and blessings with each other…
  • Thank You Lord for the wonderful blogging teams at Laced with Grace and CWO’s Internet Cafe

What are you thankful for today? Please to share with us in leaving your link below. As your time permits, please visit other participants.

Thankful Thursday has been a huge part of my online life for almost 2 years now, especially the past 8 months. I love it and I thank the Lord every Thursday for your participation.

Many things have been going on in my life (as in all our lives), especially work. I have been working long hours that resulted in frying my brain pretty much every night. I had some other issues, but I don’t want digress (well, this is harder than I thought πŸ˜† )…All I wanted to say is that I will be taking an extended blogging break here on Sting My Heart.

I am very thankful that three of my very dear online friends are willing to host Thankful Thursday during my absence. Thank you Laurel, Lynn and Crystal for not letting Thankful Thursday ‘die’.

I pray and hope that you, my dear readers, will continue with Thankful Thursday during this time. I still will be posting on Laced with Grace and CWO’s Internet Cafe…I hope to see you there…

Thank you so much for stopping by today to share you thankfulness with us this week.

Blessings on your day and as always…

IOW ~ When Frustration Hits

“Gentleness is part of being feminine – part of being a woman, and God made us distinctly different from men on purpose!”
~ Melanie Chitwood (Proverbs 31 Ministries)

I have mentioned before that we are restructuring our accounting department. We used to be several different departments to take care of only parts of our store’s accounting needs. I think it is a wonderful idea. Now our store managers have one person they can contact if there are issues at their store, instead of 3 different departments.

The training has been ‘brain-frying’…Last week I was totally burned out. Nothing else would fit into this old noggin πŸ˜€ . I am very blessed to be part of a team that cares for each other–personal and accounting wise. I just have one problem–the language…

Our team consists of 7 women and one man (poor guy). We are gentle to each other; pick up each other’s tasks so we meet all the deadlines each month. You see we still have to do our regular work, learn new stuff in order to transition fully into our new responsibilities. It gets frustrating at times since the work load is pretty heavy.

Last week we talked about the language that sometimes ‘flies’ around our training room. You would never think that women would swear like this…How do you react to women that are normally very gentle, but when frustration sits in, their mouth is just as bad as that of a sailor? For me, I put my headphones on…

Don’t get me wrong…I get frustrated too. How do I handle my frustration? I think of Him. I know that our Lord got frustrated too at times, but I don’t think that He ever used a swear-word. That thought alone keeps my mouths fairly ‘clean’.

Yes, we as women get frustrated, but if we keep our eyes fixed on our Lord, I think that we can imitate His gentleness in all situations; if at home or at work…

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” ~ Galatians 5:22-24 (ESV)

Lord of Heaven and Earth. Life can be frustrating at times. Lord, help us to keep our eyes focused on you. Let You gentle Spirit reign in us so that we may be a light to the world and can share the strength we receive from You with others. In the precious name of Jesus ~ Amen

Blessings on your day and as always…

Are You Running?

Sometimes we feel like we are at the bottom. Instead of running to God when we slip away from Him, we try to hide from Him–we try to escape…

To read the rest of my little devotion, please visit me over at…

BTW – I have done it again. I scheduled myself once again for LWG on the same day…So, my devotion on Laced with Grace will be a little later this morning than usual.
