Seven Sevens Remix for 2006

Thanks to my good blogging friend Best With Sons the Seven Sevens Tag came around again. To be honest, I like those tags in a way, because 1. you learn more things about your blogging buddies, 2. gives me a topic to blog – ha (how do you like that for a positive spin on memes). So here it goes:

The New Year’s Seven Sevens Meme (reworked by Blest)

7 Things I want to do in 2006
Read the Bible cover-to-cover (and don’t stop in the middle of the year – grrrr)
Spend time with my Sweetheart in San Carlos (best place this side of heaven)
Lead a women’s Bible study once again
Create my own WP template from scratch
Redecorate the guest bedroom with fun, sunny colors (no pink though – lol)
Go through my book collection and donate some to the church library
Learn Italian

7 Things to do less in 2006
Being pushy with our son
Drink less coffee (that is a huge maybe though)
Get discouraged if my Sweetheart doesn’t want my help
Leave comments on every single blog I visit (very compulsive addiction of mine)
Driving fast in town
Use the word “Yikes” (just have to find a substitute for it – lol)
Take everything too serious, especially myself

7 Ways to be a better wife/mother/friend/daughter/sister in 2006
Be even more attentive to my hubby
Don’t nag our son (I think that I don’t, but he says I do – mhm)
Call my mom more often (she calls me all the time)
Call/email my sister more often (not only for birthdays/holidays)
Just listen to friends and don’t try to fix their problems
Read emails correctly before responding (sorry PM – had a blonde moment)
Pray, pray and pray before responding to anything that makes me mad

Acts 7:51-60
Psalm 143
Romans 7:7-13

“Eusebius – The Church History” by Paul L. Maier
“The First Light” by Bodie & Brock Thoene
“Pontius Pilate” by Paul L. Maier
“Heart Like His” by Beth Moore (started it, but haven’t continued)
“Discipleship: The Next Step…” by Greg Laurie
“Showdown” by Ted Dekker

7 Movies that I have never seen that I am going to watch in 2006
This one I have to pass on, because who knows what comes out in 2006???

Well, here comes the part where I would need to list 7 other people to join me in the meme. I am not good at this tagging thing, so for right now, my blogging buddies are safe (just for a short while though – I do have another blog – lol). But, if you read this and like the meme, please feel free to join us and leave me a comment that you have posted yours.

Alarm Clock Tag

Jeff from Becoming Our Destiny has tagged me with this alarm clock meme:

1.Do you use an alarm clock to wake up in the morning? – Does the TV count? If Yes, I do…

2. What time do you set it for? – Monday – Friday: About 4:45 AM; Sunday About 6:00 AM for church (well, like the early 7:30 AM service)

3. Do you hit the snooze button? If so how many times? – Usually I turn it off and have to suffer the consequences – leaving the house late for work…

4. Have you ever abused an alarm clock? – Nope – to heavy for that; but thought about throwing the remote control at it…

5. It’s “time” to spread some “It’s Blogcess” linky love.
