Great Grandma's Pennant
Believe it or not, but I finally found an old treasure. I totally forgot that I had inherited it from my great-grandma. I just don’t wear it, because this pennant it not ‘my style’.

My mom gave it to me after my grandma passed away about 10 years ago…I remember my great-grandma very well. She was a strict woman, but she loved her family. When I see fresh peas in the grocery store, it reminds me of my great-grandma. She had a fantastic garden with fruit, veggies (love fresh peas) and flowers. It was awesome to spend time at her house. If she needed help picking the peas, she never asked me. I ate them all before she could fix them with dinner . I usually had a tummy ache when we left her house, because of all the fresh cherries, apples and peas (not a great mixture – believe me)…Oh do I miss it! I wish we had the soil and the weather to grow peas here in Arizona…

Thank you Faith, for creating Treasure Tuesdays – it always brings back great memories. If you participate in Treasure Tuesday, please leave a comment and will add your link to my post .Visit other Tuesday Treasurers:

Engagement 1982

Oh my, this is so long ago (1982), but it is one of my treasures. You know why (of course one reason is the treasure next to me )? No, but that is one of the few pictures of us together (besides our wedding pictures) that I really, really like. We had this picture taken at a professional photographer in Bremerhaven, Germany, following our engagement on November 13th, 1982…So, what ya think of my treasure?

I know, most of you have really neat and older stuff, but I had to leave a lot of things behind when we left Germany in 1991 . Let me know if you have a treasure to share and I’ll add your link below .

Charm Bracelet

So, it took me a little while this morning to get the right shot of this little charm-bracelet (one of the little things in my treasure chest).

When we were kids (my sis and I), we traveled a lot with our parents. We pretty much traveled throughout Europe. I wish I would have appreciated it more back than. Those travels with our parents are priceless today. This little bracelet reminds me of those travels (I have another one – but really had a hard time to get a clear shot – I took about thirty to get this one *sigh*). Ever time we stopped somewhere really neat, our dad bought another of the little piece to add to the bracelet. This one you see is 35 years old and a little tarnished (should clean it)….I am glad that I can share those little treasures. Thank you Faith for coming up with Tuesday Treasures.Tuesday Treasure Participants: Faith, Kim, Sheri, Heather, Kate, Diane, Nancy, Debi D.,

Treasure Tuesday

Today’s treasure, you ask? I am glad you did…Although I don’t have a lot of neat and aged stuff around my house like Faith, but I have some unique stuff. This one? I made myself last year – yup. I painted it (you don’t like the unique colors? – Hm? I do…*grin*). Anyway, this really captures the essence of San Carlos, my favorite place on this planet and this side of heaven. We picked up the shells last year here.

I see this as a great treasure, not only was it made and designed by moi; it has great memories from my childhood in it. Meaningful little gifts from my dad, my mom and of course from my sweetheart. So, what you think? Should I keep my day-job or should I go into design? LOL…

Do you have a treasure to share? Please leave me a comment so I can come visit and see your treasure. I will add your link to this post, so others can see your treasure as well….
