Do you ever have those days where you just feel totally defeated? When everything you touch just goes wrong; or you have to jump another hurtle? Girls (I am not discriminating, but I know that I don’t have any male readers 😀 ), I just had some of those days. Than God stepped in and shook me. I was about to write a Thankful post on Monday. On the days when I am down, God pours out His mercy with a huge bucket. But let me share with you…
- I am thankful that God shakes me once in a while to remind me why I am blogging. I want to share with my readers my struggles that are met with His mercies. I want to decrease so that my Lord increases (paraphrased John 3:30). What a blessing it is that our Lord’s mercies are brand new every day…
- I am thankful that God blessed me with an incredible patient, tenderhearted and encouraging husband. I don’t know how I would survive without my Sweetheart beside me…
- I am thankful that God blessed me with some incredible friendships that developed over the internet. Thank you Laurel, Lynn and Terri to stand in the cap for me ALL.THE.TIME…
- I am thankful that God blessed me with access to the internet. When I need encouragement during the week, I can just click on some Bible teachers at OnePlace.com. Not only did I listen to Beth’s continued study on Romans on Monday, but Pastor Ingram had a message that I think was straight from God (Spiritual Warfare 101). I don’t think that I clicked on that particular message by chance…

Thanks so much for hosting again…This is sincerely my favorite meme. It makes me stop in my tracks, and really think. My “thankfuls” sometimes feel a bit shallow after reading some others, but then the Lord reminds me that they are what I am thankful for, and that He is pleased to receive my gratitude. 🙂

This week I am thankful for tears. That God gave us a way to let our mourning flow out. And I’m thankful that Jesus himself tasted tears. He knew what it meant to face sorrow, and He is a gentle guide into how to face our own deep sorrows.
We all have those days, Iris. Thank goodness for our patient and understanding husbands.
