On Tuesday I am hosting CWO’s In Other Word meme. I have picked a quote by my favorite pastor who was considered a rebel in his time, Dr. Martin Luther, reformist of the 16th century:
When I came across this quote last week, I immediately thought of the following Scripture passages:
“More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” ~ Romans 5:3-5 (ESV)
I pray and hope you have time to join me this up-coming Tuesday to share your thoughts with us…
Be blessed today and as always…
I will be here my friend, love you.
Wow, Iris, this quote really hit me. I’ll try to be back to post Tuesday. I am convicted to do so!
Wow exactly what I just posted about!
Such a great quote!
Blessings
Great quote, been thinking on it all weekend. I have an Internet Cafe post the same day, but I already wrote that a week ago, so I will do this one seperately. Blessings.
That definitely is a “thinking quote”. I think your scripture verse is an exact match for it! Can’t wait to read! (I have been so busy here at work, haven’t had the time I love to have to post—hopefully tonight!!!)
Iris,
I am humbled…this verse that you matched to the quote is the one that I picked out to meditate on this week as we continue to study Romans in our daily Bible Study….
I have really poured my heart into this one, it really has helped me “meditate” further on this one!!
Thanks for blessing me without even knowing it!!
God humbles me daily!! HE is in the details!!
Peace,
Lori
