Back to normal…

Iris

…what ever normal is in my life 😆

The Ultimate Blog Party was a success for Janice and Susan (girls, you did a great job)…Over 900 blogs linked to the ‘party post‘ and some even stopped by here. The door-prize winners are announced as well…

The devotional I donated to the blog-party is on its way to Merci at “Spit Out the Cat“. I have won something too 😛 . Not from the ‘official’ prize list, but from Christy at “Bon Bon Boutique“.

The cool thing about the party was that I hooked up with an old friend, and found a new one…I hope you had a chance to browse some of the blogs…

This week’s IOW quote is by Liz Curtis Higgs from her devotional “Rise and Shine“:

“One of the secrets to a happy marriage is remembering the source of our joy, which is not one another. The source of our joy is the Lord. Yes, we share tons of joyous moments, but we don’t expect, let alone demand, endless joy-filled moments from each other.”

I hope to see you there to read your take on this week’s quote…

It is spring break in the state of Arizona and my Sweetheart will be off the entire week. As for yours truly, I have to work 😥 . If you are wondering about time change. Well, we moved from Mountain time to Pacific Time. So now, I am behind 3 hours from my blogging friends at the East Cost. Speaking of friends from the East Coast. I will be meeting her on May 4th IRL for lunch…I am so excited about that!

Well, I better get going–hope to see you tomorrow at Laced with Grace.

Blessings on your Sunday and as always…

  1. How are you and Laurel going to get to meet? How COOL is that?!?!

I gave up on the blogparty, but STILL won a prize; and actually, I “met” a few new bloggers who I think I’ll continue to keep up with. I really tried to visit my prior “regulars” instead of investing in new blog f’ships, I realize I don’t read everyone I want to under “normal” conditions and the party completely bamboozled me, lol.

Congrats on your prize–bon bons sound like a delicious prize :).

Your iris made me smile ’cause it made me think of one of my favorite bloggidy friends ;).

Wow, what an early Spring Break! Is your husband a teacher? Did I miss that mention in the past???

  2. Girl I am so excited also, I already told my Mom, I am busy then. She is going to babysit my niece for me, so it will be just you and me (oh and the tons of people at whatever restaurant you tell me to show up at, heheheh) I am so giddy I am excited.

Congrats on winning something. I am still visiting people from the blog party, it has been fun checking out other blogs and meeting new people.

Have a great Sunday. It is not Spring Break until the week after next (they have this Friday off).

    Chat will you later.

  3. Iris – thank you for stopping by Pollywog Creek on this beautiful spring Sabbath day. I love your iris photo…I, too, am partial to flower photographs, but my daughter has been fussing at me to photograph other things…and since I have literally hundreds of photographs of flowers stored in my flickr account, I am trying to listen to her and open my eyes to other delights that surround me.

The blog party looked like a lot of fun, but I was just too busy to participate. Maybe next time!

Have a wonderful week, dear friend!

  4. Wish I could meet up with you.

So, time change for you – wow. That must be an adjustment. It’s an adjustment for me and I do it twice a year LOL.

How cool you won something. Congrats!

Spring break doesn’t start here till the last week of March.

  5. Lovely quote. Will be sharing this tomorrow when my lunchmates and I will be counselling an officemate about her marriage.

    Thanks! God Bless Your Week.

  6. What a wonderful quote. Definitely words to ponder.

Spring break, huh? We don’t have ours till the last week of March. I’m ready for it, though. 🙂

  7. Well, I’m back too. Thank you for being you. I liked the apartment square picture a couple of posts down too. I agree, the Southwest buildings are not European in style!! They definitely have their own genre! I feel bad that you couldn’t get vacation to match your dh’s. I know the feeling. When I was working a couple of years ago, both dh and my son had vacation, and I had to work! At least it was only a couple of days part time, but I know the feeling. Hope you are having a good day. hugs

  8. Marriage Monday sounds great. I think I’ll enjoy participating in that. I didn’t realize it was on until tonight. See, I should be reading these posts, huh?
