Tackle Tuesday ~ I am Back

Tackle It Banner

What can I say?!? I have been really bad accomplishing anything around the house. Oh, don’t get me wrong. I do get the daily/weekly stuff done. But the buck stops right there. No special projects. The other day I was thinking that I really needed to get back into the tackle projects. I think I am just overwhelmed with them — there are just so many…

Actually, for this project I received the motivation from our son. You see, he went out with his friends on Thursday night to stand in line for “Black Friday“. I had a wish on my list for a year — a scanner/photo printer. And Daniel purchased one on Friday – 5am…Check out my first scan

So, I had to make room close to my regular PC. This is what the space looked like before:

I finally went through all my old Bible study material, sorted some of my books and look — much better:

Tackle Tuesday ~ Not A Slacker

Tackle It Banner

You know, for the past couple of weeks I really felt bad that I didn’t tackle any jobs around the house. Believe me, there are enough jobs around here I could tackle…I thought about it tonight to tackle a little project, but than I thought: “I am not a slacker!”. Before I go on, I want you to know – I am not whining – okay …

Let me tell you about my typical Monday:

  • Get up at 4:30 AM
  • Leave the house around 6:45 (after my morning devotion, a cup of coffee, prepared breakfast for hubby AND took a shower)
  • Work until 4 PM, stop at the store to buy food for dinner
  • Check and answer emails
  • Pray for my on-line friends
  • Do a load of laundry
  • Cook dinner
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Roll down the recycling bin
  • Pay bills on-line
  • Prepare the coffee maker for the morning (yeah – I have a timer)
  • Write a post or two
  • Try to spend time with my Sweetheart
  • Go to bed around midnight….

So, from now on I will do my tackle jobs on the weekends. Then I will not feel so bad for not doing really good tackles for Tackle Tuesday….
To visit real Tackles today, please stop by Janice’s Blog “5-Minutes-For-Mom“. Let me know what you tackled today…I’ll stop by tonight after work…

Have a wonderful and blessed day .

Tackle Tuesday ~ Relapse

Tackle It Banner

Yup! I did it again. This time it was even worse. Instead of having only to catch up on 2 weeks, I had 4 weeks of paperwork to do. How sad is that? Just look at this horrible mess…

Mess 14

As I mentioned to Janice yesterday, I really need to get back into things. I was just really busy with so many things and I actually started reading again too. Much fun. I only get one chapter in each night, but better than not reading :). Anyway, back to my mess. I worked on it tonight and it was frustrating. Actually kind of funny. I get payed to keep books in order and can’t keep my own. Well, maybe I should start paying myself ~ that might motivate me. Yeah, only in my dreams…But look ~ I got it done tonight. Doesn’t my desk look great now? I can actually see the surface. And yes, I did finally move the batteries. They are in the charger right now so I have a fresh set for my wireless mouse…

Tackle Tuesday ~ Off The Wall

Tackle It Banner

Okay, so this time I will share something with you that is not a ‘cleaning’ job, but is a HUGE tackle for me. Although I am pretty savvy in the cooking department, I can’t bake; even if it my life depended on it (usually takes me couple of tries ), this one included. You might ask: What is the big deal when you bake from a package? — You just need to follow directions! Yeah, for any normal woman in the kitchen, maybe…Believe me, I needed two packages of this:

Before Baking

Because yours truly put too much water in the recipe — first time around. Not sure why in the world I can’t do it the first time when it comes to baking. I either burn it — or like in this case, add too much of one ingredient. But I never give up — so I hopped in the car again and picked up another package. So, here is the finished product:

Focaccia Bread

Although German, my favorite food is Italian. It always has been. Now they came out with this wonderful, do-it-yourself Focaicca bread. I just had to try it — even with my bad record of baking. Hope you enjoyed my little tackle-job. Hopefully next week I will be fully back on track and actually tackle my ‘undie-drawer’. Not sure though if I want to share pictures of my undies..

So, what did you tackle today? Let me know, and I’ll stop by after work or before or at lunch time (because I have Internet at work starting tomorrow)…
