Tackle It Banner

…in plans that is. Okay, so this is really not a ‘clean-up’ project. And, I was going to tackle our guest/blogger bedroom first to redecorate. BUT – we found a new bed-spread this past weekend. The first time ever, that my Sweetheart and I both liked at first sight.
Here is what the bedroom looked like before:

Pretty boring colors – right? But look at it now:

New

Whoot ~ pretty ~ No? Anyway, I like the new color scheme. But now, the walls look too ~ oh I don’t know ~ hm ~ WHITE…So, now I am looking to do something to the walls, get new curtains…you know the whole thing. Can not believe that I am looking to redo our bedroom. Oh well!

Thank you Janice for creating Tackle Tuesdays. My new motto for my shores and things I want to do around my house: one project at a time. Did you tackle today? Please let me know and I’ll stop by in the morning or after work…

Have a blessed Tuesday .

  1. PRETTY!! – that is awesome!! And to agree – well that is simply remarkable. Our bedroom duvet was like that. We actually found one that we both liked. One must buy if that happens.

Good work girl – mine is up and hey – it is only 1:15 am. Good grief. I gotta get to bed…

  2. WOW! I love the new look..isn’t it amazing how one change can change the look of an entire room…kinda like how when we became Christians :)..not to mention, now you are talking about curtains, walls, kinda how we are as we continue walking with our Lord. Hmmmm….you just gave me an idea (as you always do!!) Make it a great day…gotta go tackle the mess that our “adopted” puppy has just made!

  3. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! It looks great, Iris, you did a wonderful job. If it were me, I’d go with a subtle shade of one color in the bedspread…probably the yellow. Be careful though, yellow can be tricky. Good luck!

  4. Well, I’m not part of ‘tackle it tuesday’….but I’ve had you in mind a lot these hot days. Yesterday our newspaper had Phoenix’s high of 114!!!

And then I come here and you’re redecorating your bedroom?!!! Wow!! I love the new colors for sure. It really brought out the wood on the bed more too. Makes it more beautiful!!!

    WTG!!

  5. I LOVE it! Wow, it’s so colorful and fun! And versatile. You can play up the yellow and orange for fall or the purple for spring and summer. And you’ve got winter covered because it looks so cozy! Oh, for the walls. I wouldn’t go with yellow. It’s just too ‘cheerful’ and a bedroom should be relaxing. What about something in the green family? Something soft and mossy. You know, Behr.com has this color thing you can play with that might help. I hope we see the ‘finished product’ one day soon!

  6. My bedspread is almost exactly like that. We have purple walls and that spread is perfect for the sort of Morrocan theme I was going for. Great taste!

  7. I love the colors you have picked out for your room. I Know that Mik and I want to do ours and having looking around for what we want. We know we want and Knight and Damsel Theme but not sure where to find things from the Castle period at.

You will have post more photos when the room is complet

  8. After being approved to start working again (slowly), after giving birth 12 days ago, I tackled moving the kitchen supplies from the laundry room, (which is on the lower level where I had to spend 12 days after birth, due to avoiding stairs), back to the kitchen. I couldn’t believe I wore myself out, just for an hour’s worth of work.

  9. OH AWESOME new colors! I love it…that’s really awesome that you two agree’d I know that can be easier said than done! 😀

  10. I love your new bedspread — it’s full of color and spunk! We have very colorful walls in our house — it sure helps hide fingerprints. I think a deep gold would be so pretty on your walls — but you could have so much fun picking out a new color. 🙂

  11. How’d I miss this?! I was wonderin’ what it looked like. My bed looks a lot like yours… (not the bedding, but the bed)… However, it’s at my Dad’s right now… as I stored it up there when I moved because I thought he needed it. I wish I had it back… I like it a lot better than the one I have – but the one I have matches all the furniture exactly, as it was a set. The other matches – but not as well.

  12. Looks wonderful. Amazing what a touch of color can do. We recently painted one wall of our dining room firey orange. It changed the entire room and we love it. 🙂
