I will bless the LORD at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
(Psalm 34:1 ESV)
I love reading the Psalms, especially those penned of David. No matter what David encountered, most of his Psalms praise the Lord. David did not look at his circumstances, but lifted his praise to the Lord.
Honestly, the first 4 months of 2012 have not been kind to me. I know that many of you have had hardships. I always feel that I should not complain, because there are many who have a harder life than I am.
So, rather than looking at my circumstance, I life my hands and voice to the Lord. I thank Him for the many blessings in my life.
- Foremost, I praise Him for His salvation in Christ Jesus.
- I praise Him for doctors that heal the sick.
- I praise Him for prayers that are offered on my behalf.
- I praise Him for meeting with a friend that I have not seen for 18 years.
- I praise Him for clients that are willing to use me at their photographer.
- I praise Him for authors like Holley Gerth, who He has blessed with writing strengthening messages.
- I praise Him for the food on our table.
- I praise Him for my church filled with sinners and saints.
- And I praise Him for His Word!!!
