As I had mentioned on Thursday, I was reading “Red Ink” by Kathy Macias. This was the first book I ever read by Kathi; I know it will not be the last. I will have to check out the rest of her books, and most certainly her “Extreme Devotion Series”.
The book “Red Ink” captured me from the first page to the last. I could not turn the pages fast enough 😆 .
Christians in China always have captured my interest, because they are truly devoted to their faith. I think that we often take for granted that we are able to worship freely in this country (or my home country for that fact). After turning the last page of Kathi’s book “Red Ink”, I wondered once again: “Will I stand faithfully if I were to be persecuted for my beliefs?”. I pray I do!
One other thing I was reminded of while reading the book: pray for the ones God puts on your heart. No matter if it is someone from your immediate family, your friends, or someone you have never met. God has His reasons why He puts names or nations on your heart to pray for. May I not disregard His prompting for prayers.
My friend Lori has a more comprehensive review on Kathi’s book. You can also win a copy by leaving a comment on Lori’s review blog.
I hope that you will have the chance to read “Red Ink”. The book once again reminded me to not take my freedom for granted.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a blessed Sunday!
