Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—
(Galatians 3:13 ESV)
Some of you may know this about me: music is a huge part of my life. It gets me through the day, especially when the days don’t go smooth. If my day goes ‘south’, I put on my pink head-phones, listen to the my downloaded music or the radio station.
One of the songs that has been playing lately on KFLR is Big Daddy Weave’s song “Redeemed“. Love that song. It is a great reminder that I don’t have to be perfect each and every day, but that I can look to the cross and know that my Savior has redeemed me.
“All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, “Child lift up your head”
I remember oh God, You’re not done with me yet” ~ Big Daddy Weaver
Aren’t those lines beautiful? Yes, God lifts my head and He will use me even in my brokenness. If that is not a reason to be thankful, I don’t know what is!!!
