But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
(1 John 1:7-8 ESV)
Sometimes people don’t like my honesty; they look at me if I were from a different planet.
I read a very powerful devotion tonight that made me nod my head with every word (you can check is out here). That you see and hear from me is the real me. If I am hurt, I share my feelings. When I am angry people will know (no yelling, just being very firm).
Being real is something that is very important to me. I don’t like it when people are nice to my face, but stab me in the back (figuratively speaking) if they have a chance. Oh, and I so cannot stand gossip. If I hear gossip, I walk away.
I think that all who follow Jesus and are believers should be real – no masks needed. If we hurt, we should be honest about it 🙂 …So this week, I am thankful for the people in my life that are real and don’t mind sharing their hurts.
