For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
~ Psalm 30:4-5 (ESV emphasis mine)
Believe it or not–it is Thursday again 😛 … God is good–all the time. Yes, sometimes we have to learn to be patient (which is really hard for me at times). He will answer if we call upon His name. So, will you join me in praising His name this week, no matter what you are going through?
- I am thankful that my weeping might only tarry for the night. I know that God will answer, even if it will take a while. Lord, I praise Your name that You will bring joy in the morning…
- I am thankful for trails and tribulations. This way I might be able to help someone else if they are going through the valley…
- I am thankful that a dear friend of mine, who I have not heard from in a while, dropped me a note. Thank you Stacy for remembering me. You don’t know what it means to me…
- I am thankful for my Sweetheart. He got me some really neat tools to actually print my digi LO–they look really cool in my little book…
- I am thankful that our son found a new job and will start tomorrow. I know that I just had to be patient (but tell that my head!!!!)…
- I am thankful for women like Bernadine. She has ‘resurrected’ an old website of hers. It is full of encouragement for women to be. If you know a young girl, have them check out her website “Girl Talk Magazine“…
- I am thankful for prayers. It is a powerful ‘weapon’ we have…
- I am thankful for this awesome spring weather we are having here in the desert. Today it didn’t even get up to 100F – Hallelujah!!!!
- I am thankful for our son for being generous. He bought us a new vacuum cleaner. Yeah – our old one gave out after only 9 months *sigh*. Now our son wants to buy a new washing machine as soon as her gets his first pay-check. Talk about being thankful — on his part and ours…
- I am thankful for daily dishes. It means that we have food on the table daily…

Thank you for letting me “tag along” on your Thankful Thursdays and your warm reception last week. Hope you don’t mind if I continue…
It is difficult to rejoice in the trials and tribulations that may come into our lives. Thankfully, we have an awesome God who is willing to help us each step of the way if we allow Him to be there for us.
Congratulations to your son! May you and your family have a wonderful week.
Good news about your son’s new job! What a generous heart he has, you done good! I will miss everyone during the next 10 days if I don’t have internet access at my mom’s.
Not only do trials and tribulations allow us to help others who might go through what we went through, but they also help to make us “mature and complete” in our faith, as it says in James 1:2-4. What a blessing to know this. I am sure that you know this, I just wanted to share those verses with you because they are such an encouragement to me. Enjoy your day. Sincerely, Serving Him
WOW, Iris, wonderful list. I’ve missed participating and blogging altogether, but I’m posting today.

Today I am thankful for joy in the midst of sorrow. Amazing how God can give this elusive gift when we least expect it.
It’s kind of hard to be thankful for trials and tribulations in our lives but you are right… It’s through ours that we can be there to help others in thier times of need…. Love your list!
It always feels SO good when our patience is rewarded…maybe not during, but at the end of that long journey of waiting on God, it is SO sweet!!
Your Thankful posts are always a blessing and encouragement. I, too, am thankful today for the promise of “joy in the morning”…and for His work in us through trials. And thankful for being allowed to be there for others in their trials, at the same time that others are there for us in ours.
I am so grateful and excited to have found this “Thankful Thursday” activity! Today is my first time participating and I thank the Lord for this!!!
I am so glad to hear about your sons. Having good children is such a blessings, and knowing that things go well for them is a great relief.
I think that even beyond our religious convinctions, believing in the next morning is the best way to go through the depths of the night. He said it so beautifully that whoever walks with Him, will never find themselves in Darkness since He is the Light…
Blessings to your family.
Your lists always lift my spirit and just bless me Iris. What a sweet, thoughtful thing for your son to do. I’m sure you are delighted. I’m thankful with you that he found a job. God is good!!
