“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” ~ Colossians 3:12-14 (ESV ~emphasis mine)
Wow – another week almost gone by…Where does the time go? I think I need to write down how I spend my free time 😉 .
Wow – God has been amazing in expanding Thankful Thursdays…we almost hit 100 last week. It is so hard to keep up with you all, but I will try my very best this week…
So, I better get going on my Thankful post…
- Lord, I am thankful for Your loving kindness. For giving me new life in Christ Jesus. Lord, help me to see the needs of others so I can pass on Your loving kindness to others…
- I am thankful for Greg from ‘Mugs of Truth‘. Greg contacted me couple months ago if I had an idea for a more female looking mug and a verse I would like to see on it. Well, this is what he did with my suggestion:
- I am thankful for my beloved. When I am down because of things happening in my life; he always cheers me up with kind words. Thank You Lord for placing him by my side…
- I am thankful for friends that stand by me – no matter what. They offer their prayers and loving kindness…
- I am thankful that the Lord is teaching me to not only be kind to family and friends, but also to perfect strangers…
- I am thankful for my friend Laurel, who was kind enough to link up to Mary Pierce. Mary was even kind enough to link me up to a book she wrote that was translated into German. I will have my mom ship it to me…
- And last but not least, I am thankful for Tracy for her kindness to step in while Angie is taking a Sabbatical from Laced with Grace…
What are you thankful for this week? Would you care to share? If you have written your own Thankful post, please link up below. As your time permits, please visit other participants. As always, the links will become permanent on Saturday mornings…
Thank you for stopping by today…Be blessed today and always.

That’s a wonderful verse…I’m so touched with its message this early morning. Ah kindness. To everyone even strangers.
And yes, God is sooo kind and loving. And all the more reason to be kind to others.
BTW, those are lovely mug designs.
That’s a fantastic verse and oooo…the mugs…are just TOO adorable…going to have to *hint hint* hubby.
You know Iris I’ve seen the face of Christ this week in some unlikely faces….like at the dentist in a little guy who was autistic and deaf and sitting in the waiting room with us….we entertained him..and HE WAS CHRIST….a perfect stranger…
you are so right….we have to notice…it’s what we are called to do…..
“love our neighbors” whether we KNOW them or not….
thank you as always for the blessing!!
peace and blessings!
lori
oh Iris – God is certainly speaking to me in that verse…
I love that verse sweetie.
I am thankful to be here! I loved your thankful list….and the cups…wow! That is amazing….hmmmm—I think I could use a cup of tea—in a mug! *grin* Thank you.
The Lord is good….please pray for my mind to clear….for the tangled thoughts to unravel themselves in an orderly fashion! I am a mess!
I love you girl!
Thankful for your thankful heart, not only with it today, but with it every single day, I read it through your words. You let me know that only when we have a heart to thank the Lord, so we can find something/someone in our life to show our thanks to the Lord. Thanks to our heavenly father and you and other sisters and so on….
Oh, I love those mugs. Great choice, Iris!
Thanks again for hosting this. It forces my heart to look for the positive each week.
Awesome mug, going to have to save up. I use my other one all the time, in fact bought one for my sister for Christmas. I LOVE LOVE Mary, she will have you laughing and crying and piercing your heart all in the same page. Have a great week.
Yeah – you’re getting a Mary Pierce book in German? That’s awesome! She’s my mentor – the president of my writer’s guild. The theme of kindness is so perfect for me this week.
Those mugs are so cute!
I really liked the point of kindness today. Thank you!
Happy TT to you Iris,

Hi Iris,
I enjoyed reading your list…I thought of other areas to be thankful for as I read your post. Loved the mugs…looks like Tulips?? They are my favs.
A very inspiring post! I think kindness is something the world needs more of today, and being a fruit of the Spirit, it should certainly begin with the body of Christ. I appreciate your encouragement to be kind to our families as I know I need to practice more of this too! Thanks and have a wonderful day!
Wonderful TT Post. I love these scripture mugs!
Oh those mugs are defintely female, love em!

Thank you for your kindness!
Hi Iris! Great post as always. I submitted a “cup of faith” mug at http://www.zazzle.com this year. I’d done a bullentin board at church about cups of faith & hope, etc so the idea came from that. I have photos in a previous post about the bulletin board.
Thanks for sharing your thankfulness! And thanks for doing this Thankful Thursday thing, I just love it and look forward to it all week; and through it I feel as if I have made lots of new Christian friends!
It’s so good to be back. I just love that you do this all the time. And, what a lovely list you have today. God has blessed you with many who show their lovingkindness. Have a wonderful day.
Kim
We are thankful for you Iris, for hosting this and giving us a forum where we can connect with other women. We know how busy you are and I for one do not feel slighted if I don’t hear from you every week. I remember once when you were questioning whether to keep this going. Well, God is certainly answering that question as more women join us each week. Blessings to you and your family this week.
As always Iris, I love your post. Can I buy a mug? I love those!! I collect mugs. Thanks for sharing. God Bless!

Thank you again for being such a blessing and hosting the Thankful Thursdays. It is such a joy and encouragement to visit the other blogs and read of God’s goodness in the lives of the others listed.
BTW-Those mugs are great. I like to have a little coffee with my scripture in the mornings and what a great way to have both 😉 Be blessed,
